Lagoon Beach Resort — Hotel in Mindanao

Unexpectedly, the place was great, and the lady staff who assisted us was polite and accommodating. We were the only guest who had reserved a room even though it was a weekend. And the resort was not crowded though some guests got there at around 5 pm for their swimming pool; we still felt we rented out the whole resort. As per the pool, it was wide and up to 6ft under, and we did not smelt the chlorine as per the previous review. And just a heads up, the place doesn't have a restaurant for you to dine in. Instead, they take orders and deliver them to your room. The viands price ranges to 400, but it's suitable for 2-3 pax. And the room was clean and fully air-conditioned with a TV, the toiletries that you will get is just a sachet of shampoo/conditioner, one tissue and two towels. So, you need to bring your toothpaste and toothbrush and other stuff you need. Fortunately, I had it prepared. Also, what I like about their room is it has a hot shower. This made me delighted as I quickly got cold after swimming. The only cons that I could confide were about their reception area, which you need to wait for the staff before you could pay/ask and buy the snacks and drinks they sell as she was sometimes not there.

Lastly, please be aware of their corkage which they will inform you of when you book if you are heading there for a celebration. In our case, it was just a day and night to relax fully and enjoy the staycation.

And oh, I almost forgot. Do bring slippers as they don't have them. And the beach is not worth seeing as it consists of rock.

This place had the best pool in this location by far. The staff is impeccable. The caretaker here made you feel like home. As a foreigner here I felt safe 24 4 7. There's a guard and a gate. Right on the ocean but no beach. We had a family barbecue and it was so much fun. There was only one big downside. There is no restaurant so anytime that we had to get food we had to leave for breakfast,lunch and dinner. You can get beer and some munchies...
