This weekend is labour day weekend. Our friends (9) decided we want to go on a trip together. From looking around, we finally decided to book at Chateau Royale. Given this holiday was a few weeks prebooked, we have looked forward to a relaxing and a destressing weekend vacay.. but it not.
Travel time: QC to Nasugbu. 4 hours. Travel time during holidays jack up so it was normal.
Arrival time: 12:30PM Booked reservation: 2:00PM Amenities that we expected: 2 rooms. Decent Airconditioning. Hot and cold water for bathing. Restaurant for dinner and a buffet breakfast the next day.
In reality here's what we got for paying 14k (overnight for 9 adults and 3 kids): The check-in validation was 30 minutes. Still decent because we expected that they were packed for the holiday. At 1PM, we finished our validation and waited for our booked room. At 2PM, we received our 1st room. The 2nd room was being prepared. You have to ride their shuttle service to reach the rooms. It was a hot Saturday afternoon so upon entering the room, we were all looking for the airconditioning unit. It wasn't working. We were calling the front desk but it was just ringing and no one was answering. We drove back to the reception/front desk to complain. We have 3 kids (2 babies) complaining about humidity from a room with a busted a/c. We still have no 2nd room. It was 3PM. We got our 2nd room at 330PM. The A/C was fixed just the same time. Room locks weren't working. We had this fixed. Water for both rooms were barely dripping. You have a heater that isn't working. We asked for a pail and dipper to make it useable. The toilet can't flush your fluids. So go figure. We used the pool for 30minutes, we barely had the energy to play around. We got exhausted fixing the things to make it work at least. Come evening, we've been told that the wave pool is broken and can't be used for the next day. Dinner time, by now you can feel our frustration. We wanted to just relax and have a good meal. We tried their floating restaurant. With all this mess, we've been told that the minimum waiting time is more than 1 hour. They only had 2 chefs available to work through the night. We ended up having dinner at Twin Lakes (Bagoong Club). We kind of expected that the same service was going to happen for the buffet breakfast and we weren't spared. We anticipated that there will be a large group having breakfast so we decided to take ours early 8AM. Luckily, we got some rice, 1 cup of coffee, 2 glasses of iced tea, 10 plates, omelette, tuna, some adobo and beef tapa. Everyone at the buffet area was hoarding food thinking there's none left. Sadly this wad just a horrible morning to start our day. The saving grace was when we complained for the 2nd time around and someone went to organize their staff.
All in all, I cannot put all of our frustrations in this post. I can just imagine all other prebooked guests being overly disappointed with the lack lustered service. This is easily one of my worst holidays. I WONT COME BACK. I WONT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE NOT EVEN...

SERVICE The services are good including the shuttle's driver are also friendly and patient. They have a well trained staffs which I really π love. And they doing their best to give you what ever you wanted to request.
FOOD The foods are really really good especially the free hot choco. There are some servings that I really like such us the carrot cake and fruit salad. There are also servings that I dislike such us their fish fillet coated in a batter and flour which taste like I am eating an experimental food disaster. π Lol. I am looking for bread their to serve with any fillings but nothing except the carrot cake. The chicken servings need to add more sauce because they are poor in saltiness. Sometimes the white meat is dry. What I really impressed is their soup. It is perfect! Though I there was a time that I taste smokey flavor maybe because it was burned while cooking. I think this hotel is a fan of chapsuey and Baguio π« beans.
ROOM What I really hate about is the charges like missing pillows, blankets, bath towels. Yeah maybe the blankets and bath towels maybe lost but the PILLOWS??? What the heck? Who are those youth took home the PILLOWS inside their luggage π§³ and baggage π . I don't think they will took it π home. Some of lightnings and appliances like TV are not properly working. Even the heater. But over all it was a very good room. It is clean and elegant.
LOCATION Since this is a resort, it is slightly isolated. The travel takes 20 mins to the market using a π car. And 20-35 minutes to the hospital π₯. It is a forest on the Mountain ποΈ hill. There's huge pool, zipline, many restaurants, huge π§Έπ», and a lot of Buddha statue πΏ. I think the owner is not a Christian perhaps.
My advise to the Hotel owner is to obey the law of the land. Pay your taxes properly. Use the official receipt always even though this was a room/hotel charges.
My advise to the visitors... Good luck π€ and stay π happy. Be polite, and kind to the staffs. And have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Enjoy...
Β Β Β Read moreWe're very disappointed,,service is sucks!..expensive and yet we didn't get a good service, from the reservations that no one answering our calls to confirm our reservation even if we call for 1 whole day until the day of our check in,,service is slow what i hate the most is we are just asking for a 1 pitcher of water and yetΒ i need to follow up it for five times and worse thing is they can only give you small bottled water ! ,,Pools are dirty with lots of dirt from birds ,when we go to the spa no staff can accommodate us because some services are not available..we go to the restaurant and we want to eat some food that we like and yet they can only say it's not available ALL THINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ,,from staff to food and a 1 pitcher of water! we paid 7,777 almost same rate with high end or five star hotel from manila or other hotel near tagaytay and batangas but VERY FAR from service that we expect,,it seems that you only paid 7,777 just to sleep for 1 night and swim in their pool and getting a 2 small bottled of waterΒ for that expensive price,,the only compliment in that price is with free breakfast and refillable bottled water but gosh! you need to follow up this many times before they can give you,,sorry to say but some of hotels are cheaper but with very good service and we're definitely wrong that we book in this hotel we are not after the price but the service should be worth it.
