Excellent hotel if you want peace and nature. Take note the hotel is old which is ok with me because it gives it a unique character

Worst Hotel Service. The view from the hotel is great but the service is the worst we've experienced. Our breakfast arrived at 8:30 am, an hour and a half after we asked for it.Coffee arrived 2hours after we finished our food ( after several follow ups). When our breakfast came, the food they gave us was not the food we ordered. We were four in a room, and we were charged $75 for 2 people and P850each for the two extra people. But there were no extra towels. And there were no hotel staff to be found. When we complained, the hotel manager told us that we can't expect too much because the room rate is cheap and we only paid less than P2,000 for the extra people. Well, Php 5,300 is not cheap! She even said than it's new year and they lack staff, and they have the right to refuse us. Well, she could've told us that before we checked in. If we knew that this is the type of service we will be getting then we could've booked on a different hotel. So, this is a precaution to those who would think of booking in this hotel. It's rate is almost same.rate as the 3star hotels but the service is the poorest. The hotel is unamaintained, so many mosquitoes even at the lobby, lots of trash in the vicinity. Oh, and when we checked in the room wasn't cleaned yet. When we opened the door, the beds were not tidy, the room is dirty/messy, towels on the floor, like someone just used the room. The worst part is, the hotel manager was the one who is angry because we complained. And instead of being apologetic, she kept on insisting that it's new year and she has no staff, and their rate is cheap. This hotel manager, obviously, has no proper training. I told her that we will put our experience in the hotel review. And she said 'WHO CARES!' Conclusion: this hotel doesn't care for their guests, for their staff, and for the image...

Nestled far inside the Kalayaan Highlands Subdivision overlooking the forest, this out of the way hotel must have been impressive back in its day. The original floor tiles and antique furniture contribute to the rustic atmosphere and gives you the feeling of going back in time. Our room was on the second floor and had French doors leading out to a balcony which we sat out on to watch the birds and just enjoy the scenery. I really loved the high four poster beds with mattresses that are heavenly to sleep on and the CR was spacious with hot and cold water with quaint nooks and fixtures. But I would say the rate is overpriced. They could do a lot to update the hotel.||||Another option for a guest room is the Bay View Room. The name is a bit of a misnomer, however, as you can only see a tiny bit of Subic Bay from outside the room; there are no windows in the room. But there is a loft which is fun for kids to climb up to and even sleep in.||||The restaurant area is a relaxing area to hang out at with a long veranda and a pool table. The swimming pool is well maintained and is down the hill from the restaurant. You might also want to visit the green houses further down the hill where they grow their own vegetables.|| ||For the free breakfast you have several choices and the servings are adequate but nothing to shout about. Lunches and suppers are available and the food is gourmet cooking, thus on the expensive side but excellent. Service was great but seems to be a one-man show. Credit cards not accepted, only cash. Wifi is only good in the...

Mountain Woods might have been a very nice place once upon a time, but it is going downhill fast. The extensive gardens are badly overgrown, and the appearance of the swimming pool did not fill me with desire to put on a bathing suit and jump in. Our room was poorly lit (another bulb in the overhead light might have helped), and the air conditioning took a long time to cool it down. The room was cramped, with little room for two suitcases and smaller bags, although there was closet and drawer space for storage. The bathroom had a tub, but the shower was the hand-held type, and since the shower curtain didn't go all the way around the tub, it was difficult to shower without flooding the room. Whoever cleaned the room did not replace the used towels, empty the trash, or provide additional toilet paper although the roll in place was obviously almost used up. When I went to the office to ask for someone to bring toilet paper and empty the trash, a person showed up a while later and handed me a roll of paper and a large plastic trash bag, then walked away, leaving me to dump the garbage myself, with no place where to put the bag.||||The food in the restaurant was good and portions were large. The choices for cold drinks seemed limited to beer, Coke, and water. Service was erratic; one member of our group didn't get his meal until after everyone else was finished eating, and then his main course arrived before...
