We went to Iloilo at the onset of the storm last February and all our plans were ruined. We stayed at a budget hotel for the night because we can't even get out and all ferry trips were cancelled. I came across Sheridan Hotel while searching for alternatives and fell inlove with their Casitas room. Unfortunately it was fully booked. We called the resort and by some sheer luck they told us that there was one open for walk in although they can't guarantee the availability the following day. They suggested that we contact them from time to time so that we will know if it was booked before we got there. The staffs were like angels! We went there before 12noon so that we can reserve the room and they told us that we can occupy it already even if it wasn't 2pm yet. ||||The room was clean, ammenities are complete and it even smelled nice. There were no bugs and mosquitos even if the room was on the side of the lake.||||The food was superb, it was not expensive at all because servings are large. My husband even asked the staff if they have a restaurant in Manila. Unfortunately, they have none. But if they do, we would be their number one customer haha! During dinner they even gave us complimentary drinks aside from the ones served upon arrival. Breakfast was a delight, big plate of everything I wanted to start my day.||||The only thing that they need to improve are the male staffs that are always chatting, and looking at the women who are in their swim attires. I felt quite uncomfortable with it. The female staffs on the other hand are very courteous and has a ready smile.||||Good...

Read moreIn January 2024 I was looking for a resort to stay in on the island of Palawan, I saw an ad online for the Sheridan Boutique Resort in Sabang, Palawan Philippines. It looked nice so I booked a stay for March 13 thru 15. When we arrived in Palawan, we went to the information desk at the airport to find transportation to the hotel. We were shocked when they told us that the hotel closed a year ago. When I checked the reservation, I found that it was for the hotel in lloilo. Not being familiar with the Philippines, I didn't notice that earlier but realized that they had changed the location from what I was looking at. We ended up staying at another hotel there in Palawan. We called the Sheridan resort and talked to Miss Joyce Divino who said that other people have had a similar problem and that she would talk to the reservation department get back to us about it. When she got back to us she said she could not do anything for us and to contact Agoda who is the company who handles their reservations. When I contacted Agoda, they said they had to talk to the Sheridan. Basically, it went back and forth and at this point both giving me the run around so I have finally decided that they will not honor either a credit or refund of the full payment I made. While I realize that it is my responsibility to check the reservation, I feel deceived as I was looking at their website which should have been taken off the web. Now when you look at the website it says permanently closed so hopefully no one else will...
