This is unlike any beaches I've been before maybe because there is practically nothing much to do here except to kayak and just walk along its beautiful shore powdered with white sand. If you want a quiet and laid-back place with amazing scenic views, then this may be the place for you; but if you are looking for a little fun and something to do especially at night, then you may opt to find another resort. To go here, you must go to Brgy. Campo in Padre Burgos and look for the Padre Burgos Maricultural Zone Office which have lots of boat with amazing people to ferry you to the beach. The resort have actually 2 divisions. The one side, and I may say the main side, is the place with the resort's hotel (where I stayed) and the administration office; while the other side is the place for people with tents and those who prefer not to stay in the hotel. Reaching the other side is challenging. You can choose to hike into a very steep and rocky mountain that the staff usually use to go from one side of the resort to the other which would probably take you 8-15 mins if you are an expert; or wait for the low tide and just simply walk beside the rocky shore of that small mountain (be sure to wear an aquatic shoes). The walk is around 3-6 minutes with light-to-moderate difficulty.
WARNING: -DON RELY TOO MUCH ON GOOGLE MAPS FOR DIRECTIONS. We wasted a precious amount of time because we got lost. Google maps told me that I can park my car right at the beach but when I was trying to find my way using google maps, the locals told me that visitors are not advised to reach the beach through a car because there is no physical road going to it, only a very narrow muddy trail. Believe me, I've tried and it sure was scary. Luckily enough, those hospitable and kind people of Quezon told me to just instead go to the port in Padre Burgos where there is a safe place to park my car. -BEWARE OF JELLYFISH! When I arrived at the resort, I immediately noticed a fence made-up of bamboo shoots and fishing nets placed at the beach. At first I thought it's a place designated for kids to swim. But I was actually shocked to find out that those part of the beach were the only safe place to swim as the beach is somewhat infested with lots of jellies. It was an absolute bummer. What's scarier is that a fellow tourist got stung by a jellyfish while swimming inside the safe-zone. To be fair, the situation is not always grim as I've told as I was able to swim outside and beyond the safety of the made-up cordon and encountered no jellyfish. If you do that then do it at...
Read moreWe stayed in Station 3 for 3 days and 2 nights. The resort needs a lot of improvement. ||||Island Hopping|| They offered the island hopping package for Dampalitan, Kwebang Lampas, only to find out that we will be looking at the said islands from the boat and not actually go down on the islands. I cancelled immediately because it will be a rip off at 1800 per boat. Not only that, they already cancelled twice on us before, first for conflict of schedule and second for strong waves.||||Jellyfish-infested waters|| The resort has a netted area for swimming but 3 in our group was stung by the jellyfish in the netted area. I asked the person in charge if there are jelly fish even with the nets installed and she confirmed that there are jellyfish in the netted area. ||||Safety|| There are no life guards nor warning signs for jellyfish in the area. No first aid also. They let people swim in the netted area, get stung, and give an expired calamine lotion to fend for themselves. ||||Food|| We have pre-ordered our food for the weekend but it was a dissapointment. The food was not only overpriced but its served either overcooked or undercooked.||||Service|| There was minimal to zero water on our first day, we told the person in charge of this but said they have to check. The next day, we followed up on the water since there is barely water coming out of the faucet. They sent one of their staff only to find out that they forgot to turn on the water for our rooms. In the restaurant, you have to ask for glasses and water to be served in your table. ||||Payment|| They have 3% surcharge if you pay via credit card and they don't issue ORs if they gave...
Read moreThe place is very beautiful, clean and peaceful. The borawan Island has 3 stations. We stayed at the station 1. Here, the people/staffs are so kind and respectful, especially the woman maintaining the toilet and bathrooms. The bathrooms are separated from the toilet room. These are always clean and most of the time, the water is sufficient. There are cottages and tents which you may rent. But you may bring your own tent. (Although pitching your own tent costs 200php for each small tent and 250php for a large one.) You may also try island hopping, but make it sure that the weather is fine because the waves will be very unstable if it is raining. There are many fishes so you may want to go fishing for your meals but you may avail the package they are offering in which everything is included (cottage, tents, meals, island hopping, entrance fee. The seawater is clear but there are many jellyfishes so you must be prepared. Although the sari-sari store there also sells cream/vinegar which you can use if ever you will be stinged by a jellyfish. You must prepare your powerbank/s as well, since there are no (electrical) convenience outlet that you may use for charging your phones, but there are lights during the night. The lights will be turned on at exactly 6pm. Setting a bonfire is prohibited so that the sand will not be damaged. And lastly, there is no videoke here, so you may bring any alternative stuff to use for the bonding moments of your...
