Excited to go with family and 2 small pets, everyone was looking forward to this trip. We arrived approx. 7:30-8am, all was well.. until their dog Toby attacked one of our small dogs(lhapsa apso) to the point I thought my dog was dead.. take note our tiny dog would not harm a fly. Toby was not provoked, and our dog was just sitting before getting savagely attacked. After the attack and we was nursing our dog, none of the owners came to apologise. They came looked at our dog, then left.. pouring salt to the wound I can hear them yelling at the staff.."maybe you are not feeding Toby"||||Later, some of their staff came and checked on our dog. They stated that Toby have attacked and killed 3 small dogs(which they know off), and have told the owners not to let the dogs loose already. Yet they have advertised PET FRIENDLY resort, and worst no warning from anyone that Toby has killed small dogs before.||||I cannot blame the dog completely, its the owners responsibility to make sure no harm comes to their pets and they do no harm to others.||||My dog is recovering, to the point that he looks to fully recover - he is a rescued dog so I guess he is resillent.||After reflecting on the attack, we were lucky that one of the waiters(Thank you so much) did everything he can to get Toby off. He got his foot bitten in the process, the owners just stated "Look out, you may start to turn blue" referencing to rabies.. the other owner stated "don't worry Toby has rabies injection". Absolute joke, to be honest after knowing this resort is part of a string of resorts under an umbrella I'm not suprised as staying on the other resorts was just as worst.||||To make matters worst, I asked to check in early so we can nurse our dog in the room. We felt we needed to make sure he is okay - we were checked in early but got charged ₱400 per hour(we checked in 6 hrs early). There were food on the floor, smashed cups since their dog was violently attacking our dog and were charged for the replacement(yes, I know right).||||This experience has definitely taught me to not take anything as face value, always question and be careful. There was no warning signs, no warning from Toby's initial behavior so need to be extra careful.||||There is no vet anyway near by the way, the nearest was Laog.. 3 hrs away.||||The resort facilities was good, a bit old but it was very private. The food is overpriced and Saud beach would be better in all aspects.||||Would we go back or recommend this resort? No way, after the owners showing no kind of remorse or even warning guests of such incidents. Yes, incidents were a few compared to more positive experience, but would you wait until a small child or infant was attacked before taking permanent action? Would you want to take such risks?||||My advice is if you take small dogs do not put them down, Toby may be lurking somewhere then puff.. ||||Some of you probably asked why did I not go crazy? I had small kids with me, elderly women and a todler. I cannot risk fighting with the owners and their families on their turf in a secluded area. We just wanted to make sure our dog fully recovers, and we are not the type to kick up a stink.. we just wanted to have a decent vacation with small kids and our tiny dogs.||||I wanted to warn others, their Facebook page has no options for reviews.. I guess if there was I would have seen a review and would have definitely either not booked or made sure the small dogs were no way near...

Arrived here for a few days stay looking to gaze at the sunset across the beautiful sea.

Booked via email and received fast response. Would've preferred any of the booking sites because it's just so much easier. Initially booked the casita loft but after arriving took the premier room because of the amazing ocean view.

Sure, the resort is old and in need for upgrade & maintenance. Starlink internet didnt reach the room. Only Globe coverage available. No card payments accepted. Jacuzzi didnt work and smelled bad. Private pool recirculation pump out of order. A/C didnt work as good as it should. Blah blah... but if you can look past these inconveniences, you'd find that there is a striking beauty and authenticity to this beach resort.

The room itself had a great view and a nice deck to lounge on and just stare into the ocean watching the waves go by. It had a big Samsung smart tv which was great because I always travel with laptop and hdmi cables to stream. Kettle provided if you travel with your own French press or Vietnamese drip. Mosquitos were big but thats why you bring sprays & lotion. Killed a cockroach, no big deal. This is all part of nature's experience on the beach.

The place has charm and the people are nice and chill. And the quality of the food is amazing! Many options at a decent price. Had the pastas, pizza, poke bowls, and smoked meat platter. For breakfast, the omelettes and pancakes were enormous. Really appreciated this over the usual Filipino food menus.

Overall had a great relaxing time and re-energized for the long journey back to civilization. This place is highly recommended if you're looking for a non-pretentious, authentic beach resort.

Oh, and if your A/C isn't working properly, just clean the filter yourself....

Staying here was the best decision we’ve made. We’ve thought of checking in other hotels in SAUD, but glad we came to Kingfisher as it’s not touristy, no corwds and in the middle of nowhere.

Room (Superior) is excellent, a massive collection of shampoos, body wash and rolls of tissue. Big rainfall showerhead, strong hot shower water.

Bed is perfect and even the pillows (although the other set of pillows smelled a bit old, which I imagine is just for display). There’s aircon and even a ceiling fan.

Lovely woodwork on the open shelves, bedside table and study table. There’s a balcony where you can sit and get better wifi ;)

Food is great too! Definitely order the menu of the day as it’s fresh, and try the tuna/mackarel kilawin.

However, it was a bit cold and windy for us to take a dip, lots of foreigners getting on the kite surfing.

You won’t get bored as there’s Pinoy pool table, footsal and air hocket among other games.

One drawback is that our cable TV wasn't working the first night, turns out they did not activate it, but second night it was working. Had to wait the next day to have it fixed.

Staff is great too, although I they can get busy as restaurant and reception is in one area.

Owner Mon is a nice friendly guy and made sure we were happy and comfortable.

Will definitely come back! If only getting there is...

We stayed here back in late March 2024 for two days as part of our north Philippines vacation. The rooms are maintained, food service is good and plentiful. I would say: Rooms: 8/10 because accessing the top sleeping area is a little tough because of the ladder. Food service 9/10 It’s delicious, they have variety to choose from. As for the amenities such as pool it is well maintained, the beach is clear and it would recommend bringing goggles so you can see marine life because there’s mounds with grass growing all over the water where you can walk on and you go far before actually being in deep waters. They offer kite surfing services which is an additional cost because you’ll have a person to train you or show you how it’s done properly otherwise you could end up very far out into the ocean. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent because there’s a lot of mosquitoes here at night time. The staff here were friendly and courteous. Enjoyed our stay, will come back for kite surfing!

We enjoyed our stay at the resort, it was a relaxing vacation indeed. We stayed in a Casita and while the room was very nice it needs thorough cleaning, some of the fixtures were dusty. I appreciate that they take certain steps to be more ecofriendly, they use metal straws, big bottles of shampoo and conditioners instead of small disposable ones, etc. Their restaurant serves good food (try poque poque) and the staff are very helpful. We experienced black out once during our 2 nights stay but it was okay since the area is cool. Tips: - No signal/service for Smart but Globe works - Trike from Partas terminal to the resort is 150php. It is quite far so make sure to buy all the stuff you need before going to the resort - Make sure you close the door/s in your room, there are snakes in the area (found one roaming around our door one morning) - There is wifi but it's very slow so don't count on it 100% will recommend staying here :)
