Literally have no idea why this place has such good reviews. We arrived late at night and when we got to our room it looked fine upon first impression. However it became apparent that this room came with a side portion of bugs that would get in through the outside wall that had holes in (by design). The bed was quite uncomfy but the sheets were clean. The only plug in the room is up high which means you can't charge things without dangling them. The toilets are always wet and one of the toilet cubicles is too small to sit on properly (there are only two). The toilets weren't cleaned the whole time we were there. The WiFi is poor in the rooms but works okay in the communal areas. The doors to the rooms do not lock properly, in the middle of the night we had a man accidentally open our door and close it again, luckily he was just someone who got confused or lost but I dread to think who could have opened the doors in the night, or even in the day when we were out. The rooms are also noisy and you can hear a lot from the other rooms and outside, on our first morning they started loudly chopping up bamboo at 7am. The private beach they have is not a nice beach at all. The tours they have are ridiculously over priced, we went to Phaidon beach resort for the day and asked how much the Malumpati cold spring and bugang River would be, they said they charged 800P per person, but Pandan beach resort charged over P3000 for two people. I would not stay here again, and recommend you find alternative...
Read moreHonestly, when I went there with my boyfriend I was expecting something more something amazing. We went there for 3 nights, but after one we made it less because I really awkward situation happened with us. When we arrived the girl who was there like a hostess informed us about things on the island but unfortunately she wasn't that clear and later we had a misunderstanded problem about it. The dinner was between 7 and 8 and we didn't show up because we had a late lunch during the afternoon, she came to our bungalow at 8 and let us know that we missed the dinner but still we have to pay for it. I asked how is that possible that we didn't eat bit we have to pay and she said this is the rule of the resort. I didn't really believe what she is talking to me, how she dares to force me to pay for something I didn't take. Hopefully next day we could talk about it with the owner of the resort and that lovely lady understood our side and apologize. I just cannot understand this behave of the hostess girl :( if you come here for a vacation, you need to make sure that everything is Okey and you understand each other before you need to pay more than you expect. Other hand the place is beautiful , quiet , not modern at all, which means so air-con, no tv, no internet in the rooms, nothing special but beautiful :) The sea is clear and it was a great moment to swim with the turtles :)...
Read moreWe were on our way to Pandan that day for a three-day gathering. At first we thought of cancelling the trip because of a strong typhoon in the area. But then we decided to go on with it just the same (even when the wind was so strong that our car was practically swerving along the highway!). From Iloilo City it took us about 4 hours and a half to reach the resort, located approximately 226 kms away. Along the way we passed by Culasi, another tourist destination in the area.||||The resort offers different types of accommodation ... beach front cottages, standard rooms, deluxe rooms, etc., with price ranging from 733 to 2600 pesos per room (depending on whether it is air-conditioned or not, single, twin, or with more than two occupants, with private rest and shower rooms or shared ones, with or without breakfast, etc.). Some rooms even have a balcony facing the beach.||||Aside from bedrooms, the resort doesn't really have many amenities aside from a big area, which functions as the restaurant ... the food is very good, I should say. This is also where the front desk or reception is; a massage area and a parking lot. Room service is 24 hours a day. Very accommodating and hospitable staff. As to the payment, I think the resort does not accept credit cards. So it;s either you pay in cash, or you pay in advance through...
