This place looked good on the website and sure enough its a nice room if you get the premium room , which we were going to try for a least 2 nights. The water did not flow from the faucets and had to be fixed, all that aside we decided to check out the restaurant, this will be this places downfall, 1st off Ive been traveling all over bohol for over a week now and stayed in premium places as well as not so great places, the food has been either good or extremely great such as the last place we stayed at (loboc river resort). OK back to this place, while the restaurant only had about 6-7 people in it we our so called food came out after about 25 minutes, 2 main courses and an appetizer, one meal came out the beef dish, we both shared it and chewed away at the shoe leather passing its self off as some kind of beef ,the gravy was used to cover the over burned garlic rice which was cold like the beef slop, so after about a total 40 minutes the appetizer finally arrived, chicken corden balls..i kid you not, well this "stuff" was cooked in some kind of used motor oil or maybe that man made crap called canola oil either way I could not eat this due to the awful taste. Then I had to remind the staff that we also ordered the carbonara the fowl taste of which is still in my mouth as I type , it was cold as apparently the just forgot to bring it out from down below in the "cooking area", I will not call that palce a kitchen. Bottom line..DO NOT EAT HERE ! This has been the only bad experience of my trip so far. NEVER AGAIN. To make things worse there is nothing around for miles to get some...

We stayed at H Resort in Bohol as a group of 6 with kids, and it was the perfect fit for what we needed. Since we came during rainy season, we got an amazing deal on one of their villasโ€”and honestly, it felt like a dreamhouse. The villa had its own private pool, plus there was a beautiful resort pool we also got to enjoy.

What really set this place apart, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcomingโ€”Filipino hospitality is always warm, but the team here went above and beyond. The restaurant staff especially made our stay so easy and enjoyable. Because we had little kids, we often preferred to eat at the villa, and they would bring our meals down and set everything up right at our dining table. We felt like royalty! Even when we asked for something simple like a knife to cut mangos, they just told us to hand the fruit over and returned with them sliced and plated like a gift.

One thing to consider is the location. H Resort is in Calape, which is about 1.5 hours from the airport, and itโ€™s also a bit of a drive to the more popular tourist spots like the Chocolate Hills, Loboc River Cruise, and the Tarsier Sanctuary. After a day of sightseeing, we sometimes felt like we didnโ€™t have quite enough time to fully relax and enjoy the resort.

That said, if your trip is more focused on diving, water activities, or simply relaxing somewhere beautiful and serene, this is an amazing spot. If youโ€™re planning to explore all over Bohol on your first visit, just be prepared for the drive or consider renting a car. Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely come back when we're in...

H Resort was magical. It's nestled on the coast of Pangangan Island just off the coast of Bohol Island and is accessible via the causeway in Calape, Bohol.

From the moment we arrived, we knew H Resort was wonderful. The guards at the gated entrance greeted us warmly and guided us to a parking spot. Reception was warm and helpful and the bellman hand-carried all of our excessive baggage up the stairs to our exquisite suite.

The suite was plush, spacious, and elegantly decorated. The bed was very comfortable and quiet. The refrigerator was a bit too small and never got terribly cold.

The bathroom was huge and offered divided toilet and shower stalls, as well as his and hers sinks. My only complaint on that regard was the lack of a bidet sprayer, but that would be a simple fix.

The restaurant was wonderful and offered a good selection of Filipino foods and some foreign options. They offered both open and air conditioned tables. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the number of options was unparalleled in my experience with some twenty-plus Filipino resorts and hotels.

The staff was overall amazingly warm and welcoming and they truly made the experience unforgettable. I regret we didn't spend more time there, as I would have loved to take advantage of their PADI-certified...

Unbelievably slow service at the pool bar. Except for foreignersโ€” the staff are up on their feet, theyโ€™re extra nice (even plays beer pong with Korean guests) and quick to serve orders. But if youโ€™re a local/Filipino, you need to follow up multiple times and wait for more than half an hour for a simple smoothie. Even the owner was rude and unwelcoming. He literally โ€œshooedโ€ us away like chickens when my friend and I took a walk along the new pontoon bridge to watch the sunset. Said it wasnโ€™t allowed, yet foreignersโ€” Koreans and Chinese were allowed to explore til the end of that bridge, even children were playing there unsupervised. Clearly, it was discrimination as they had no valid/logical reason when I asked why we were not allowed there. I pointed out that if in fact itโ€™s for safety reasons, the area should have been completely closed off to guests with off limit ropes or caution tapes but it was open without obvious restriction. Itโ€™s not like we didnโ€™t spend anything during our stay. Our bill for a simple snack was almost 2k + we always tip despite the bad service. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
