Hidden Lagoon Resort — Hotel in Panglao

THE HIDDEN RESORT BAD EXPERIENCE I don’t recommend this resort although the price is cheap the front desk girl is not professional in the way on handling the guest bad experience, the check in time is 2 pm and check out is 11 am I don’t have any question on the check in time, although the resort in panglao is 12noon is the check out time, we arrived at the hotel 3:30 pm I and things go smooth we asked if they have restaurant they said no and they have a partner restaurant that can deliver to the resort, so I amazed because it is so convenience with us because the resort is far from the national highway and the road is rough so I decide to asked the menu and bring it to our room it already 6pm and were so hungry we decide to go to alona for dinner and I forget to return the menu to the front desk as we go out to our room I approach the fornt desk girl if shall we bring the key then she replied YES so okay,, thank you for the best food barwoo and mist so delicious food as we back to the hotel almost 10 pm I notice that the menu in our room is gone already and that time is no one is on the front desk and no guard on duty we are the one to open the gate, the next morning i asked the front desk girl the menu is gone in our room she replied “I already took the menu last night sir ” with bad tone voice so that’s why I asked her why didn’t asked our permission to open our room and the girl replied “is there something lost sir?” like OMG!! So it our fault now?? Do you have any safe vault in the room and open our room without our consent and our permission that’s a big no then you answer like that we have a breakfast in the morning there for 2 and I decide to not to eat there because of what happened we go to mc do for breakfast despite we pay already our breakfast at the hotel, as we back to the hotel 9 AM I fall asleep because were so tired then I wake up 10 am and open my laptop check may business then exactly 10:50 the front desk girl knock our room once and when I open the door the front desk girl remind that out check out time is 11 am so I replied its only 10:50 and he girl reply “IT ALMOST 11 SIR ” the weather that time is raining I am willing to extend our stay there for 2 hour and ill pay 100 peso per hour but that girl I don’t like, I have been check in almost all known resort in panglao that’s why I can compare their service, once I check in I will always give feedback and recommendation about my experience, we transfer to LA cas de...

The resort is good if you just want to stay there and not go anymore because it is in the middle of nowhere. The roads going to the property are really bad. It's even worse when it's dark because there are no people around.

The staff are friendly but don't know the meaning of Pet Friendly so we ended up with a problem with our booking.

Our first morning at the resort, they ran out of water at around 8am. They didn't inform the guests. When we approached the reception about the water, they only told us that at that time of the issue. When asked how long it will take, they said a few hours. I called the travel agent and informed them of the issue. The agent then emailed me to say that the water was already fixed as informed by the resort. The reality is that it was not fixed. They lied to the travel agent.

We personally don't recommend this place. We had 3 rooms for 2 nights.

The bad frame of the rooms is made of concrete cement. If you were to slip and hit your head. You know what will happen.

There are also allot mosquitos and spiders even inside the rooms.

Considering that the network signal is bad. They should have a good internet connection to compensate. Internet is just terrible in the room. Only way to get decent connectio is to go...

The place in general is good. The resort is new, so its facility is quite good. They have pool to refresh you. The place is peaceful. However it is quite expensive. I pay 2k++ php per night and no breakfast included. Normally that price range will include a simple breakfast. They will serve breakfast but is expensive that comes only with hotdog and egg and coffee. Or other pair of egg are corned beef, longganisa. My friends booked to other nearby resort with a lesser price but they have free breakfast. They will not give you water in the room and if you need, you need to go to their dining to get water and not a cold water.The location is quite far from the national road. And the road going to the resort is horrible. It’s so bumpy even the local drivers complained. The good thing for us i rented a car so going out is accessible for us. But again the road is not yet paved; going out to do your activities is challenging and hard as well as going back to the resort. Also, nearby neighborhoods have piggery. You can smell its awful smell. Around 6pm we used the pool, the smell is so offensive and we can’t take it and limits our time in the pool. Staffs are friendly. I am scheduled to travel Bohol every year. But I doubt to come back...
