I have experienced sooooo much at this place, but after staying for a full month, I would honestly say that a month wasn't long enough! I will definitely be visiting again soon and will make sure I do often. The staff at FCP are so special and I am proud of earning my FCP platinum membership! Special thanks to Randy, Donna & Gani and Nina, who were amazing at making sure I had everything I needed - even to the lengths of Donna sourcing fresh aloe vera plant for my sunburn! 😂 Before arriving at FCP, Randy made me feel at ease by updating me via Instagram of upcoming events and logistics. This made me involved right from the start, as the communication on the social media platforms is efficient, helpful and informative. These guys are very approachable and thoughtful, making sure FCP has the best customer service and inviting, friendly atmosphere. The coaches at FCP are unforgettable. Coach Rodel works incredibly hard, his energy in the gym is unmatched. Rodel always pushed me to train harder even when I felt tired - he really cares and is passionate about his role as a coach and his client's personal goals. His laughter fills the room and he really helped me to lose weight whilst enjoying myself. He made me start jogging every morning, which I would have definitely not done on my own. Coach Johnson is very skilled in the different training programmes. He took me out of my comfort zone and taught me Muay Thai and Boxing skills, which I didn't know anything about before! I now love training and have the confidence to continue independently. He is also very helpful as he guided me around the local beaches where we also did fitness sessions, which was a beautiful change of scenery. Coach MJ helped me understand how to use the weights and gain confidence with functional training, he is very clever and taught me a range of different exercises using a variety of equipment - the workouts were always different and well planned. He also discussed diet and fitness exercises thoroughly, helping me become more knowledgable about training. Coach Rosas is an amazing pro boxer and he really challenged me when I trained with him, he made me box 20 hits one time. The housekeeping and security was perfect, all the guards were friendly and made me feel at home. Shout out to Dan who always checked in to see if I was okay! I never told anyone this, but I didn't even lock my door for the whole month and I had no issues 😃... FCP always made sure I had everything and even brought meals into my room when there was a typhoon. Thanks to all the chefs at FCP, especially Jahni who went out of her way to personally message me asking what I wanted to eat for meals and prepped these within my calorie intake - I will miss your cooking. Also Nathan makes really nice protein shakes - you must try! Going into the city was made possible, with the help from JoyJoy and Zine who always offered to help with a smile! Joseph and Justin are smart with the body scans and they are informative when comparing your weekly results, this kept me on track. I would highly recommend the massages from the housekeeping too they are awesome and Ella even did my lashes and nails on site - this was a great touch for downtime pampering. Many social events happened during my month; there is always plenty to do in terms of classes, the schedule is very busy - next time I need to try Yen's Zumba! FCP are all about the community, I love how they involve everyone and care about the people. Many opportunities have been created here and FCP should be proud of what they have built for the global and local community - inspiring many young boxers too! I am excited to see how you guys grow and I am glad to be a part of it. Everyone NEEDS to book a stay at FCP as this was an unforgettable experience. They not only helped me reach my goals with weight loss/fitness but they made it full of memories I won't forget (especially being a round girl). I literally laughed everyday, could write a lot more but you just need to go ahead and try...
Read moreI spend 3 nights in FCP in a shared room. But I was alone in this room. Mysteriously 2 cellphone of mine wrapped in Aluminum foil disappeared when I was there. I was asking for help to look into the camara footage via email. Took them long to reply. Yes they searched the room three times for me but they didn't find it.
Than they searched my trashcan. Like they looked what is inside of my trashcan when I left. They found aluminum foil which I always use. Than they found some injectables as I am injecting myself an antibiotic as I felt sick after traveling. I work in the field of medicine.
After a few days the story went through the village that I am doing strong drugs and that they go to the police ^^ Well they are a little bit not so cool. After a filed a case they denied this. But is was confirmed by the whole village. Even the Barangay hall got scared about it as FCP Brand is rich and they need to keep a good image. They think I am stupid HAHAHA.
Most of staff seem very unhealthy also, which for such a place to me seems not so professional and good. Also they are not really smiling much except of the coaches, which seem professional to me. Many smiles were fake smiles, easy to see.
As someone who worked with famous artists and the most famous nightclubs before and lives in the village where FCP is located since 10 years (I am a LOCAL), oh I have a lot to tell what is working not so good over there.
For example when I arrived I directly saw that the staff and the management is not so good. Or that many things are overpriced. Or that they are not really caring much about the brgy bagungan local.
I DIDN'T LIKE IT.
I told them that I am friends of people since looooong that are accepting FCP here and even give them a home. Most villagers accept them only because of their shiny and rich image. And that's it.
I also tried to give them advice on how to run this place in a more proper way, as the potential is good. But it could not be accepted by a stupid little ego. Laughable. The way this place is managed, promoted and priced is really not good. The best is, they contacted Google to delete my review. Their little criminal egos can't take it? Unbelievable. It's an honest review. So take it. You make mistakes. And that's it.
Some strange people there. Needs a lot of improvements!
More feedback: The Gym is very good. The service and most of the staff is very slow and depressive. The coaches are professional and very good for what I see (I trained in many schools over years long ago). The solo apartments are overpriced for 4.000 Peso a day. The bunkbed rooms are rated and priced fairly for 1.000 Peso, as you can use the gym for free and the swimming pool. You also get a free breakfast which is very good. There I would also advice to serve a good juice or real coffee (not instant coffee, this poison should not be served anywhere close to a gym) and INCLUDE. To make it more perfect.
The whole staff (except of coaches) should be exchanged, if possible the place should be managed by a cool foreigner. The staff has no magnetic energy or attitude that is attracting foreigner or makes him feel comfortable. Not at all. Totally boring staff.
My advice is. Go there for a training with the coaches. Use the gym a bit, and that's all. LEAVE.
Well I hope there will be improvements. I filed a report to the barangy about their wrong doing (as now mentioned above) and very lausy handling about the situation accusing me of doing drugs and than keeping that a secret from me. Very lausy wrong doing. For them very bad situation and very bad promo. Oh and by the way I brought bagungan locals there and payed their sessions, bought overpriced merch from them and I was even offering to them to stay longer in that room. IMPROVE! You are not doing good!
They banned me for their wrong - doing. That's the only one thing in the Philippines that does NOT match me. If you complain about their wrong doing as a foreigner, they hate you and BAN you, which is a very racist thing in the...
Read moreI learned that this is the first facility of its kind in all of the Philippines! It was my first time in Palawan and wanted to find a place where I could surf and train, which is what led me to FCP. They offer customized programs for your fitness needs and even if you don’t sign up, you can also do “drop-in” classes. I would absolutely go back for a longer stay. Staff: Awesome. The owner, Donna, is really inspiring and so welcoming and accommodating as are all of the staff and trainers. It really felt like family being there. Big thanks to Joseph who is in charge of the front desk for all his help and managing my many requests! Location: It is remote but it’s within driving distance (walkable even) to the beach. Tucked within a mountain, you’re given gorgeous views and of course hiking excursions. It’s really perfect place to focus on your fitness goals or even to just relax. While it’s out of the way for most pick-up transfers, the staff can arrange transport to pick-up zones for tour buses. Food: Honestly, one of the best in Palawan. The chef is from Pampanga, which is the culinary capital of the Philippines. Everything was tasty and good-sized portions. I had the most unique but delicious adobo chicken. Accommodation: Modern and clean. My cousin and I stayed in the dorms and were super comfortable. The room and bathrooms are spacious. We were given our own toiletry kits, lockers, and since it was the two of us each had our own sink. AC, hot water, tea and coffee maker, and carafe with water (water-filling stations around the grounds) Amenities: Best Wi-Fi as they use Starlink and take great pains to ensure that even during a blackout, there’s electricity available. Guests have all day access to their huge gym facility. Security at night ensures guest safety. You can also book massages and beauty treatments on the grounds. There is a spa room, games room, and even karaoke room as well as nice big swimming pool...
