There were 9 people in our reservation. We wanted to do the underground river tour so we stayed here hoping to have some relaxation in addition to the tour. We were relaxed, closer to bored.||For the price I felt that I could have gotten more comfortable and relaxing amenities for my family elsewhere. Maybe we should have stayed in Sabang.||We stayed in El Nido beforehand and we paid almost the same for food and lodging, and we were much more comfortable and relaxed there. ||||We couldn't cook for ourselves. There was a kitchen in the house and they removed everything that allows you to cook. We had to pay 250 php per person per meal. Everything is cash only. There's no other way to buy or cook food unless you travel by van to Sabang for 30 mins (they charge 2800 to 3000 PHP). So make sure you budget your cash for lunch and dinner. The village nearby only has junk food. There is no phone signal.||||+ Beach is calm and perfect for swimming, people are friendly, free karaoke, Hammocks, friendly dogs.||- overpriced food, no internet or phone signal, bug bites, etc. Very very basic amenities: bed (not comfy), sitting space, walls, roof, toilet, shower, ceiling fan. Beach could have been maintained better, lots of seaweed and some trash are present. If it rains your family will be bored.||||Overall I don't think this place is Filipino family friendly. Foreigners might enjoy it though because they love throwing away money for "authentic"...
Read moreWe spent a couple of days with my family and this has been such an incredible experience. Jenny and her family are so nice. They do everything to make you feel you are at home. In the background, you have this beautiful garden and panoramic view over the Ulugan bay. The only thing we were missing were some long chairs near the beach and maybe some hammocks.||On top of it, food was freshly prepared and different every day and it came as buffet. Very practical since we were a large group (more than 10 pax).||The rooms were clean and tidy, however some animals in the neighbourhood can be loud at night.||Although the place is a bit remote, it is actually quite close from Sabang (30 min) and there are so many activities around Buenavista and Sabang. Amongst my faourites are: Ulugan bay / Isla Rita boat tour, motorbike rides, Ugong Rock & Zipline and of course the Sabang Underground River.||Finally, we really appreciated the offgrid concept : all the energy comes from the sun and water from the well. Some card & board games are also available at the restaurant, Jenny's daughters are always up for a game.||If you like the crowds, full moon parties and white sandy beaches, don't go. But if you're looking for an authentic place with warmful people and pristine nature this place is for you.||Again, we would like to thank all the Kahamut-An staff for this...
Read moreWe stayed in this paradise for 3 days with my husband and my two sons (16 and 21 yo), we all fell in love with this place. In a small genuine village on the beach, you find this hidden gem which you shouldn't miss. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and spacious, private bathroom and a lovely balcony on a stunning garden where we had our breakfast and drink at night. The food is the best we have eaten in Palawan, last night we have had dinner on the beach and it was unforgettable.Jenny is an amazing, intelligent, interesting person, she entertained with incredible stories about the Island and her life. She is extremely helpful too. She booked the river ticket for us before we arrived (we had a very tight schedule and we would have missed the journey if she didn't), she brought us on a stunning little Island (30 mins sailing) and gave us a great lunch on the beach. I have to mention that accommodation, food and tour are sooooo affordable!!! We were truly surprised when we have had the bill. Thank you, Jenny for this amazing experience! Everything was just perfect, we will be back soon. Love to your gorgeous daughters!
