Reggae Vibes de isla Romblon (12.02.2018) ||Be aware some websites mark a wrong position for that place: it’s on Romblon Island instead of Luzon - not 30min from Manila Airport. You need at least one day for Manila – Tugdan (Tablas)flight, 1h tricycle ride to San Augustin, ferry San Agustin - Romblon 1h and a 45min tricyle ride. ||Real Position: 18km south of Romblon town located on Regional Highway 305 Romblon – Sawang – Agnipa - Sablayan (approx. 1km to go for the Lighthouse Apunan Point) by Scooter / Tricycle 45min- not 94km from center! The coastal road gives an introduction to the natural beauty of Romblon (N-E 15.5km, W-E 7.3 km).||||Rating according to level of accomodation. Reggae Vibes is a typical homestay with good ambiance run by one person, located infront of a 650m beach, sharing it with a view other local homes only. It’s a completely quite place off the beaten track. There is a good chance you will be the lonely guest for some days. The main attraction at the south point of Romblon is the marine sanctuary with exceptional clear water with good soft & hard corals near the light house (200m distance in the sea), where turtles have their home). It’s a good snorkel and dive spot. Make sure you bring your own equipment as there is no rental option here. 3P-Divers at 10km distance. Lighthouse Agpanabat (Apunan Point) on the rocks is good for a visit. ||||Rose Romblon, owner and manager of Reggae Vibes, takes care for her guests; she offers 2 spacious rooms (approx. 15m2) for beachfront accommodation with separate balkony upstairs a new building next to her house, good for couples; due to stairs access not suitable for disabled. Her idea is to open a small shop on the ground floor and decorate it with a tiny pool surrounding the building (not ready). Guest rooms upstairs have wooden floor, queen size bed with mosquito net, wardrobe, toilet, hot shower, balconies with sea view. Sufficient socket outlets, power 24h, free WLAN signal (Globe) is shaky, Smart signal is poor. Breakfast included. There is no restaurant; if you order in advance, Rose will freshly cook for you in her private house and serve the meal on a table right on the beach. Cold drinks are stored in the kitchen fridge. We stayed here for 5 nights last year. The accommodations were ok. They had all the basics - airconditioning, balcony, and free breakfast. The beach is good for snorkelling, my husband saw a sea turtle at one time!||||Meals can be had here but you have to inform the owner (Rose) in advance. Price is fair and servings are good.||||Things for improvement: the place, particularly the room and bathroom can use a bit more cleaning. Even if the space is just simple and basic, keeping it very clean can lift up the anbience of the whole place. Also, there is a karaoke machine right below the rooms. They can tend to be a bit loud and annoying, especially if the ones singing weren't gifted with a singing voice. Although they do turn it off at 10pm.||||Conclusion: For the price of about USD16/night, you get airconditioning, a balcony, ensuite toilet and bath, breakfast by the beach, and spectacular sunset views in the evening, this place is definitely worth staying at especially if you're on a budget/backpacker type. ||||If you're looking for posh, spotlessly clean accommodations and have the proper budget for such, this place is...

Not a s clean as on the pics... 😣|Dirty bathroom and comfort room...|I informed them at night that the bathroom os flooding inside and they said it is normally that way...|The room they gave me has 2 wooden doors on different sides with crystals uncovered by curtain...|There is a cat who would keep on popping at the doors...|The doors are ALL WITHOUT LOCKS even the comfort room doors that I onced open the CR with someone inside.|No free breakfast to compensate all the troubles...|My other companions said, their comfort rooms have malfunctioning showers and toilet...|Our rooms have no individual toilets or bathrooms...|All for 1,000 pesos per person.|Not recommended for travellers like me, who are used on seeing different types of accommodations.
