Highlight of our Philippines trip! đ We spent 4 days at Faith Tourist Inn and canât recommend it enough! We were privately picked up by car from our previous accommodation and driven to Faith Tourist Inn. Upon arrival, we were given a small hut, which, although simply furnished, was extremely clean and definitely spacious enough for our stay. The online photos do not do the accommodation justice â we actually liked it even more in person! The huts are just a few meters from the beach, which was equipped with padded loungers, completely empty, and very clean. It was the perfect place to lie in the shade under the palm trees and admire the breathtaking sunsets in the evening.
Since the restaurant is currently under renovation, we didnât dine there, but the two neighboring resorts (just a few meters away) had great restaurants with seating directly on the beach. Faith Tourist Inn is located a bit outside of Port Barton, offering a quiet, relaxed atmosphere with a stunningly empty beach. We rented a scooter directly from the accommodation for two days and drove to Port Barton â for us, this was the perfect balance to see something different and try out cafĂ©s, restaurants, etc. The drive takes about 30 minutes and includes some bumpy roads in the first half, but it didnât bother us at all. :)
We would particularly like to highlight the kindness and helpfulness of Ruth, Shy, and their families. We felt extremely comfortable throughout our stay, and when we had a medical emergency towards the end of our trip, the two cousins called all the hospitals for us, drove with us for 3 hours to Puerto Princesa, and supported us at the hospital there. This is by no means a given, and we are incredibly grateful for such warmth and support.
We highly recommend Faith Tourist Inn and would...
Read moreWe stayed at the Faith Tourist Inn in one of their beachfront cottages. Shy and her family were the perfect hosts - arranging pick ups and day trips to ensure we were able to have the best time ever. The Inn is located right on the beach and has restaurants close by, Sunset Colors was our preferred place to eat - once again such a lovely family managing the restaurant. We would recommend Faith Tourist Inn to all travellers and this is because of Shy and her family. Nothing was too much trouble. Shy arranged a boat trip for us to 4 other islands and 3 spectacular reefs, it was bliss, we were able to swim with turtles, saw eagles and snorkelled across amazing reefs. The accommodation is simple, only cold water is available and that was fine with us as it meant we were able to be in the most perfect location. The accommodation was immaculate - rooms cleaned each day. We loved our stay and we will...
Read moreWe spent 2 days there. Shy our host was superb, attentive and willing to do anything to help us. The place is great, access is by boat or by road (a little rough in rainy weather). We actually ran out of diesel and Shy and her family did us a great service by helping us out. Away from the village without being too far from it, it is a little corner of paradise where you can recharge your batteries. Kayaks are available for trips, there are islands not far away and superb places to discover the corals while snorkeling. On the beach camp there are small nooks (hammock, deckchair, beanbag) to relax with also massage tables. The cabins are clean and well appointed with a fan. Coffee and hot water are available. Possibility of leaving from the private beach for island hopping! The food is also very good. We really...
