When we arrived at the property, the heater was not working, and we immediately informed the reception. They assured us they would replace it. However, it was only the next day—after repeatedly insisting and mentioning that we would file a complaint due to the lack of hot water—that they replaced it with another heater. Unfortunately, the replacement was older than the first and didn’t work either; no hot water flowed from the tap.||Upon discovering this, I immediately reported the issue to the reception again and requested that they either fix the heater or change our room. They responded by saying they didn’t have another heater and would need to travel to Puerto Princesa, the capital, to purchase a new one. However, they claimed it was too far, and they wouldn’t be able to resolve the problem during our stay. When I asked to be moved to a room with a functional heater, they said no other rooms were available.||I was dissatisfied with their response and informed them that I would mention this in my review. Their attitude changed, and they began behaving inappropriately, even attempting to evict us from the property, despite the fact that we had already prepaid for another night.||When we eventually checked out, they had no complaints about us. We paid in full for all our restaurant expenses and left. Throughout our stay, we had no hot water at all. Worse still, a few days later, they filed a claim with Booking.com, accusing us of breaking two heaters and demanding that we pay $200!||How could I possibly have broken the heaters? Should I have taken a hammer and smashed them? What could I have done to cause them to stop working? These heaters were already faulty and non-functional; they were extremely old. I’ve never seen such heaters in my life, even though I travel a lot. I believe these heaters might be older than me.||Moreover, I can say that the facilities in this hotel do not match the high prices they charge. It costs as much as a 5-star hotel in Singapore or Dubai, yet they don’t even provide basic amenities. The food was terrible. We had to travel 20 km just to find a decent meal because the hotel didn’t offer normal food, and the quality was very poor. They took 2-3 hours to prepare meals after placing an order.||The beds were very old, the furniture was outdated, and the mattress was so hard that it was impossible to sleep on. You could hear noise from outside the...
Read moreWe stayed at Peak View for four days, and it was absolute paradise! Right when we arrived Chris was there to greet us and to show us to our three rooms. The rooms were so cute and comfy! The views were also incredible, and we practically had the beach to ourselves! Our family had time to bond and have fun over the next four days we spent there. The food was also delicious and Roxanne and the other cooks always kept us full! Gigi and Joel, the owners were very sweet and even made this delicious salad for my sisters who were vegetarian/vegan! Chris also hooked us up with a boat tour and it was so fun, even though the weather was kind of crazy! The crew cooked us lunch on a private island and we enjoyed swimming and snorkeling. Chris also took us to a couple of scenic viewpoints to take pictures and was our personal photographer! Peak View is definitely a place where you’d want to stay, trust me. You will receive a very personalized experience and the staff will make you feel like family! The last night we were there, everyone hung out, Chris, Joel, Gigi, and we all laughed and ate good food. I was sad to leave this place, and this part of our family vacation was one of my favorite parts of visiting the Philippines. We will definitely be back soon, I highly recommend...
Read moreWe had such a nice time here with Chris the host. We were made very welcome by Chris, his staff and his parents who were also taking a holiday here. The room was traditionally styled, nice and clean inside. The food was excellent- we stayed here 3 nights and had all our meals here. The beach is very long with just a few fishermens boats - the resort is in a village so there are no toursit type activities here. Chris took us up to The Peak to watch the beautiful sunset - truly special and very kind of him. He also arranged a boat trip for us and gave us a lift to the dock in San Vicente town which we really enjoyed. Apart from that relaxing on the beach is the only other option as this is a location that is still|in the early stages of development as a tourist destination. If you want a natural and authentic Philippine beach experience then this is a good place to go. Chris has a new accommodation block which has just started to be available to book and these rooms are very nice indeed. There are plans for a swimming pool and spa services in future. |You wont find a friendlier or more helpful place to stay and thoroughly recommend you try staying here. Thanks Chris you were great!|Hope to meet...
