Beware, loud scam place.
How is it possible to credit Peria Seafront Homestay with positive comments which are obviously neither honest nor true. Maybe I was unlucky or maybe those comments come from suspect or accomplice's profiles...
I arrived in the premises and faced a grumpy lady not paying a "Hello", a"Welcome", or a simple simple smil which is quite unusual considering phillipinos are among the friendliest I met after decades of travel. I felt I was an unwelcome disturbing person instead of a paying guest ?!
Then I was taken to a dull room with a tiny 80x30cm outside broken window and an attached "bathroom" with no soap, no toilet paper, no running water for the sink, the toilet or the shower ! Only option, a water bucket and a plastic pan. No running water but also no electricity. The alternative being provided by a loud smokey outdated truck engine used as a generator !! Of course no WiFi as advertised.
Then I noticed that the huge in-house living area of the pension was getting ready with tables, chairs, projection screen, huge Bose 901 loudspeakers, for an all day seminar-event at full sound volume with an attendance of 70 persons facing all rooms, including mine. The session was due to last for 3 days from 8am to 5pm but carried on until 7pm with another commercial event Tupperware like. So what about the pension factor, guests quietness, rest, and basic access to rooms made hazardous through a human maze and tables and chairs spread all over the place. Seriously scandalous without prior informing coming guests !!!
Peria Seafront Pension is not really a homestay aimed at the well being of visitors but a converted warehouse turned into a conference hall rental facility used for seminar-wedding-commercial meetings-etc with few rooms surrounding it, a grocery shop, a shipping importer-exporter facilitator, and eventually a video karaoke staged at the end of the over the water platform which could be nice to relax if not used by local guests feeling like shouting out (not singing) at night preventing others -like me- to sleep !!!!
During my entire stay, the managers never did anything to assume their duty to enforce basic quietness and I had to argue at 11pm to stop the all day noise overwhelming the place. Just like an american guest one day before me suffering the same issues, I ran out after 2 horrible days and nights, not getting what I paid for, angry, tired, deaf, and barely washed...
For the very first time, I filed an official complain with the accomodation website asking them to inquire about Peria Seafront Pension and eventually ban them from their listing due false statements and scam like behaviour. In terms of facilities listed on TripAdvisor, Booking, Agoda, Hotels and everywhere else, most of them are false. There are no parking, no wifi, no TV lounge, no beach, no activities for kids, no supermarket, no 24h reception, and during the 2 days-2 nights when I was there, no running water and only few hours of electricity.
Please don't go to Peria Seafront Pension or get ready to face...
