Went here last weekend. Stayed for a night with family and would never come back. ||||1. Their boat wharf is off the road and not accessible through public transportation. We arrived at 3:30pm and there was no one else except a gentleman so that makes 4 of us. We were informed that the boat will be there after 20 mins. Their boat arrived around 4:30pm though.||||2. We saw trash, like literal plastic garbage on the dock going to the resort. It was only several meters from their shoreline and there is only a big kawayan floating on the dock which prevents the trash from floating towards the shoreline although there are still some plastic wrappers on the beach itself. Kills of the vacation vibe entirely.||||3. We were having a hard time finding the reception area which is on the other side of the resort. There were no arrows whatsoever and a staff saw us going towards the reception, we were two adults and two kids carrying a lot of stuff and they just ignored us. Wow. So much for customer service.||||4. The room is worn out. Like literally. For 3200 per night for 4, you would expect a decent accommodation, but no. The door to the room and to the bathroom looks like it has seen better days.||||5. Their only pool is closed at 5:00pm. We lounged at the beach for a good 15 minutes but we went to our room immediately to rinse because it was itchy. Like something is biting you on the waters. I don't know what it is called but it is white and looks like mites. There is also no lifeguard after 6:00pm.||||6. We ate dinner on their restaurant. We paid after we order but our change was given after we ate. We waited a good 30-40 minutes for our meal. There is no where else to eat so we have no choice. Our total is 1125 and we paid 1500php. However, the total change given to us instead of 375 is only 125php. We computed and computed but we can't figure out why our change was only 125php. My boyfriend asked for the receipt but the cashier said they can no longer find it. WOW.||||It is a small amount but honesty really makes or breaks it for us.||||6. Next morning, we decided to try their pool since we have to at least get the most out of our money. There were two slides going to the pool and both slides were icky. You wouldn't dare touch the sides because it is moldy. The water in the pool is okay though. The chlorine is not that strong but the sides of the pool is really moldy, just thinking about it makes me cringe. ||||7. It is low tide from 10am to after lunch so you really can't swim on the beach. We decided to transfer to Camp Holiday resort on our second day. We asked for a tricycle to fetch us but they said there is no driver. It is also not possible to walk and hail a ride because the main highway is way too far. They suggested that we ride the boat back to davao city and then just go to samal ferry wharf and ride the boat there again. However, they require 10pax minimum for the boat to leave and there is no one else except us so we have to pay for the entire boat.||||I called the receptionist of Camp Holiday to ask them if they can hail a tricycle for us from the port which they gladly do so. We paid a higher amount for the tricycle and we walked a ridiculously stiff hill and rough road but it is okay since we can finally leave the worst resort I've ever been in my entire life which is Bluejaz "resort".||||The only good comment I can give them is that their food is delicious but it is still way overpriced.||||The pictures of the facilities you see here on TripAdvisor no longer exists. The pool with slide for kids is closed, the infinity pool is closed, the slide going to the ocean is wrecked but the remains of the structure is still there. The coffee shop is closed too. The resort was divided into two after an disagreement between the spouses-owner. The other half which was closed is the better half.||||Tip: GO ELSEWHERE. This resort feels like it is just waiting...

We were there about a week ago. February of 2017. before going i went ahead and visited their website and some other sites that featured Blue Jaz resort. the images were great and the pool was lively in the picture. but seeing it personally shocked me. you enter the pool from the right side near the showers and what we can see there was not good. some kind of a brown substance 3 meters by 6 meters in size just sitting there. the pool was dirty with leaves still floating and you can see some large black stuff at the bottom of the pool but couldn't quite make out what it is because the water is blurry. it looks like they have not change water for weeks. i dip my toe in the water and felt really uncomfortable. two uniformed staffs who i think was supposed to clean the pool was just laughing and listening to music there. i asked them if the pool is under maintenance they said its ready but i dont even see water from the slides. if you use the slides from the top you wouldn't make a meter down because its dry. the beach front is rocky and there is a bamboo log floating in the middle so we decided to look for something worthwhile and guess what...we rented a basketball to play basketball while in the beach because there is not much else to do and even that was bad because the floor was uneven and the ring is bending to the side ( fiber glass though That is a PLUS ). overall i think the resort is neglected and there is much to do to bring it back to life. there are rooms in the middle take the 2nd one to the last it has two beds and a really good bathroom (This is a PLUS). you can also rent canoe, jetski, and that banana thing for fun (its a PLUS). Food is also great loved the calamari and the sisig ( great PLUS ). the resort is really peaceful and with only a few visitors and this is a good thing because its not crowded you can have a fun time with your family. dont come on Saturdays or your suffering will begin before you can...

The owner is apparently selling this resort after a split with the wife and let me tell you that it really has gone downhill. The rooms are smelly, dirty and no one seems to care. I was with my filipino family and they really didnt want to eat the food. There is no western food at all which i dont mind but even the filipino food was cheap and nasty. Too much blood coming out of a cooked chicken that we just left it. None of the slides were working for the kids so we stayed one night through desperation then got the hell out of there. There are many nice resorts in samal so just dont go there. Its really bad. Btw the rooms were expensive too. An average room was over 5000 pesos so...

If you’re checking in, I suggest you to check the insides of the resort first before paying anything up, since they won't let you get out of the resort once you check-in unless you'll forget about all the fees you've paid and just leave. The cottages are too small, yet it costs almost a thousand. The rooms are okay, but you’ll most likely not get one when you check-in late because guests prefers staying inside it since it’s the only amenity that is 'nice'. The ocean is amazing, by the way. Their foods are costly, mostly 2-3 person per order. And it's not that good. Anyways, it depends on what you guys like, but my stay here is definitely the worst. 😑

I was there to meet an old friend with some relatives, we were very very disappointed and very ashamed.. the place is not worth it anymore, the Nipa Huts were dirty, the Swimming pool and slide were not in good condition, everything was a pity.. The Shower for women and Men were so dirty, that we almost vomit.. I would like to ask the Manager in this Resort to take care and maintain it or close it.. Many of my friends said that this place was very nice and famous, 3 years ago but now not anymore.. I am sorry to experience this..

Wth happened to this beautiful place. Feels congested. I didnt even take many pictures of this place because i wanted to be out of it asap. Bunker room was a mess. Power cutting every 30 mins or so. Not worth the time. Wouldn't recommend to tourists or foreigners. Mapapahiya lang kau.
