Stayed in the hotel for 12 days. Our party occupied 4 rooms: Room 2, 8, 9 and 12. ||||Pros||- good wifi connection||- friendly kitchen staff||- homey ambience||||Cons||- too many mosquitos. Staff tried spraying insecticide inside the room with us occupying it. Had to explain the hazards of using those chemicals with people inside the room||- Erratic changes in hotel prices. Initially, one room was offered at $25 then was changed to $30 without prior notice||- Credit card transaction charged with 5%||- Room service charged at 5%||- Room Cleaning is upon request only. Cleaning means sweeping the floor. You have to be very specific on the type of cleaning you want in your room (i.e. change of sheets, towels, bathroom stinks so further cleaning, insecticide spray when you are out of the room) Hotel staff are very friendly but these should have been done proactively. Proper training must be done by the management to their staff.||- We ordered snacks for the participants of our event at 9AM. We were told the snacks won't be available at 9:30. Same thing with lunch. This is a bit embarrassing especially since we made the arrangements a week before and followed up a day before the workshop.||- Because there is no smoking area, people and staff are smoking everywhere! Not good if you have kids with you...
Read moreThe best part of my stay was the staff: always friendly, very available to help in any way. Receptionist, GLISA, deserves special recognition. The next best part was the breakfasts: each of my 3 mornings I enjoyed a freshly cooked meal including fresh fruit.||On the down side: The air conditioner in my first room started making terrible noise. I mentioned this to the front desk and they sent a young man immediately. But the noise stopped just before he arrived. I ended up staying in that room through the night, but the aircon woke me up a few times during the night.||Glisa transferred me to a new room for my 2nd and 3rd nights. It was larger and quieter. But now there was no hot water! The first thing I noticed in the room was a 2-person hot tub. But no hot water came out. And the jets for the tub never worked. The next morning, I wanted a shower, and still no hot water.||I will go back when I am in the area again. But I hope they fix the little things.||My impression was/is that it just needs some...
Read moreThe hotel seems outdated with cracks on the sink. There were toiletries good for one day. They had only 1 supply of tissue roll. We arrived late so at 1035pm, I asked the front desk if there was still room service to which he said no. He didn't tell me that I could go outside since there were so many restaurants outside. There was free internet, however, none reached our room at #16. The breakfast was not that filling, it was good though. We left in the morning for a business thingy and so I left the aircon on because I knew we would be back immediately. We left the key at the front desk. When we returned, the aircon was turned off. I had so much stuff in the room, good thing nothing went missing. However, i didn't like the fact that you trust them and leave the key at the front desk only for them to open it to turn...
