This is weary traveller's rest stop just over beautiful San Juanico Bridge 🌉. Tacloban's hotels were always fully booked and wanting to charge exorbitant fees for traveling families. There was a Red Doorz in Tacloban, however parking was on the highway... not a safe parking spot. So i went back to Google Maps and found GTC Pensione House. It must be worth a shot to cross the bridge and see it? So our family arrived at like 2am in the morning. Parking was perfect! Lots of parking spaces and very clean grounds. They have gravel everywhere to keep things clean, plus landscaping is beautiful. The water pressure is strong because there are two huge water tanks - so water never runs out. Wi-Fi is okay, faster in front of your room. There was no hot water in our room, but that's fine. Bar soap and toilet paper are 20 pesos each. They're using Safeguard soap. Call them and they'll bring your soap and toilet paper... it's just a small fee. There were 3 towels included and we paid 150 each extra bed. We bought coffee in the morning 35 pesos each. Checkout time is 12 Noon but most guests leave before then. Travellers waste no time. This place is a much welcomed traveller's crash pad conveniently located alongside the highway - on the Samar side of San Juanico Bridge. Rooms available and only 1600 pesos for a family of 5 - go for the Deluxe Room. I'd certainly stay again.

Cheapest Hotel for travelers i paid 1,000 pesos for 24hrs. Near San Juanico Bridge and Tacloban. Food, Wifi is available. Big parking area. Theres is a bakery near the hotel. Traveling from Manila to Davao. Hope you will have a swimming pool in the future.

Quite a welcome respite driving from Northern Samar (the roads were awful!). Secure parking right outside your room. Room was basic but clean and spacious, just a comfortable bed, TV, AC, and a private bathroom. Our room was good for 2 but provided with just 1 towel. Requesting for an extra towel, as well as toiletries, would cost you. I think it's a bit pricey at 1200 Pesos per night considering those things. Good thing we always travel with our...
