Alright since everyone seemed to have reviewed their "best" rooms, I took one for the team and reviewed their second stringer (Standard Deluxe type) and-

Anyways before I ramble on too much let's start this.

Security = 3/5 (Adequate but doesn't really inspire confidence in me. There's only one guard but to be fair the only entrance can easily be monitored/controlled. Plus electronic locks are the bare bones minimum nowadays so..)

Design = 3/5 (I'm not an interior designer but yeah the clash between the "native" aesthetic with some splashes of "modern" is a bit of a.. peculiar choice to say the least)

Amenities = 3/5 (WiFi sucks. The TV sucks. The AC sucks. The showers are... sufficient - as is the compliments to the room and gym and resto - so there's that at least)

Staff = 4/5 (I pretended to be someone from the boonies. Staff helped me without condescension and "explained" things to me when I ask. They're also attentive so yeah they're cool)

Room = 3/5 (The room is adequate. It's clean. Passed the UV test. No hidden cams or mics. Like I said before inconsistent design but then I think this isn't meant to be a vacation house or something so I kinda get it.)

TL;DR: it's 3.4 overall but I can guarantee you'll get the best* bang for your buck

Conveniently located in the heart of the city. Local supermarket and hardware store is just a walk away. Watson's just around the corner. An ice cream shop nearby.

The hotel does not have an elevator. And rooms start at the 2nd floor. So please bear in mind before you book. There is a small room for prayer and a decent size gym for its patrons. Parking can be tough since it has a small frontage.

One of the best places to stay. Clean and well maintained facility makes the hotel look newer than it is. I cant believe it opened on 2017. I swear I thought it was new. Some rust on the bathrooms stainless stuff. But other than that they have been able to maintain everything decently.

Breakfast outside the restaurant was a pleasant experience. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Even reheated our old order for us and gave us some more sauce without asking for it. They went the extra mile for us.

A point markdown for parking and no elevators. Other than that I would easily recommend this hotel for convenience, price, clealiness, and facilities. Find a deal and the price are very...

Hotel La Maria located in Brgy. 4, Lactason Street of Guiuan. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel has an easy access nearby attractions like San Antonio Sulangan Church, Calicoan Island and Tubabao Island.

Room & Cleanliness: The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with basic amenities such as air-conditioning, bathroom, free WiFi, bottled water, coffee and tea with kettle and TV, just a little concern on the cleanliness of the shower unit, they should inspect the cleanliness and quality of this room.

Service: The staff were friendly and accommodating. They were quick to respond to requests and made check-in and check-out smooth.

Value for Money: The price range is of good value, especially considering the cleanliness and service.

Dining: The hotel offers breakfast options including American and Asian dish with a good view located at their 4th floor, you can make a request to have it served at the ground floor for your convenience.

Overall Rating: ⭐ 3.75/5 – A solid choice for budget-conscious travelers looking for a clean and friendly...

Contemporary design, affordable price. Rooms come with both fan and air-conditioning, perfect to beat the hottest days of summer. Rooms are quite spacious and are kept clean. Bathrooms are reasonably modern with hot water and showers. Wifi was inactive when I was there although I was told by other guests that its quite good when available.. Brwakfast is standard Filipino staples - a choice of danggit (dried fish), hotdog or ham, with eggs, fruit (I had watermelon) and coffee or juice (or both if you prefer, no extra charge, free flowing as well ) What I find great is the friendly staff. This is eastern visayas where the tradition of hospitality is not as strong as in region 6 or 7 (and no, that's not a spot judgment. I have been to all but 6 of the Philippines' provinces, and i spent almost 2 years in Region 8). But the staff more than exceeded my expectations. Friendly, outgoing, generous with assistance. Definitely a recommend
