I visited the area as my wife is a native of Pangasinan, and we stayed in our house just minutes away. Being from a quiet English village, after 9 days, I got fed up of the dogs barking, cockralls, and traffic noise at night, and decided to find a hotel. There's some very dodgy looking ones near by, so I settled on the Kabaleyan Cove Resort. The good: We used the public pool facilities, which are great for adults and kids, and had music playing. The entry price was very cheap. I stayed in the deluxe room for five nights, and it was clean, with fresh sheets and towels daily. Breakfast was served promptly via room service, and the food quality was very good. The massage facility was very pleasant, cheap and included Swedish, Thai, and Shiatsu massage. The service provided here was excellent and my wife and I returned twice. The private pool, available to hotel guests was a particular highlight, and my wife and I enjoyed a couple of hours to ourselves. The facility is very safe and secure and is monitored by security, who stop cars passing in and out to perform checks. The not so good: Laying down flat, I scrapped the skin off both elbows coming down the yellow and green water slides, causing blisters for the remainder of my holiday. I highly recommend avoiding these, as there's inadequate water flowing, and the steps leading up are worryingly rusty. There was no attendent monitoring at the top, no warning sign. Although not intolerable, the air conditioning unit in the room was a little noisy. The bedside lamp didn't work. The cable TV had very little English speaking channels, and the signal was poor anyway and dropped out frequently. The first night was shared with a lizard, and after that had departed, it was replaced by several locust type bugs. I guess this is kinda to be expected in a tropical country. Saturday night was spent next door to a group of eight guests who were up until 2 am partying, shouting outside my door, and slamming their door frequency. I complained twice to reception, once at 1am and again at 2am, as the hotel rules state that guests should keep noise to a minimum after midnight. To their credit, security resolved the issue on the second occasion, and thankfully, the other four nights were quiet as the noisy party only stayed one night. All in all, I was impressed with this facility and would stay again. It's clear a considerable investment has been made by the Filipino owners, and expansion and improvements appear to be ongoing. I hope that my negative comments are seen as constructive, as the owners are doing a fantastic job in providing much needed jobs to the local community, and increasing tourism in the area.

We went here for my cousin's wedding. Awesome place! Lots of amenities. They have two pools, restaurant, playground, function halls, and a bar. There's also a spa and a convenience store, but they weren't open when we were there (was probably on maintenance). The restaurant had a decent range of food, albeit pricey. If you're getting breakfast meals, get the porkchop! It's superb! Pools are quite spacious and has a lot of things on it like a cold jacuzzi among other things. It's not that deep, though. 5 feet at most. Rooms are nice and clean. It's got a TV with cable, AC, showers with heaters, water heaters for coffee, and spare bed cushions. Although the power outlets are few in our room, so you might want ti bring a spare outlet extension or powerbank. The parking in the area is a first come, first serve basis, so it can get crowded sometimes. Overall a nice and fun experience! Can recommend!

Big pools with slides with three different heights. A relatively wide kiddie pool. Lots of shower rooms and restrooms. No need to bring a grill they have a spacious grill area for barbecues etc. You can bring your own food inside the pool area, cottages of different capacities are readily available. Cottages have electric fans and sockets for charging gadgets. The water is clean and an area of the pool is covered for those who don't want to get too sunburned. The place also has a restaurant, rooms for overnight stays and spacious parking. Overall a pretty wholsome place to have fun.

One of the worst experience in taking a room on this most publicized infamous Kabaleyan Cove Resort. I will never ever recommend or come back here. This place is a daylight robbery. Sucking the hard earned money from the customers and cheating them. Urgently the municipal or city authorities must intervene and do an inspection on this facility. This Kabaleyan Cove Resort do not have minimum standard or quality. This place is just a show off and cheating customers. Ugly and unclean carpets, walls and window blinders. Including the air conditioner television, wifi, refrigerator are decades old and won’t work properly. Most of them are broken and malfunction. No safety and security for you and your belongings. No security deposit cabins available. None of the keys for the cupboards work. We find it extremely difficult to lock the door of our room. Two keys are hopeless. Maintainence and facilities guy came and tried his luck, it was all in vain. Not even electronic swipe cards. Each room will have two rusted handle locks. Broken equipments and infrastructure. The air conditioner is decades old and makes loud noise like a fishing boat. Television is broken and out of order. Never works. Just an instrument of exhibition. Bathroom taps are leaking. The water drainage is kept open and unclean. Photos attached. Toilet seats slides and runs like a ballad player. We have to call maintenance twice after we checked in. Pictures attached. Bathroom doors are broken, the siding doors are rusted. No water heater, microwave in the premium rooms. The shower and the water heater are not working. No power point to charge your cell phones, or to use ur laptop, tablets and very weak wifi connections. The whole area is surrounded by flies and insects. Sleeping in the night will be miserable. We were killing mosquitoes, houseflies in the night. You can’t even open the windows. See the pictures. Surrounding the rooms you can see the piling up of garbages and savages. The house keeping section needs proper training and quality. They are not at all perfect or efficient in cleaning the rooms, floor, doors, wash rooms. Pictures attached. The front office receptionist is trained to cheat customers. We booked and reserved a premium room for 2685 pesos per night. She ensured, that there are five rooms vacant. When we arrived, she was showing the real chameleon character, “no rooms available” only available is another expensive, 3355 pesos per night. Lol the employees are trained and committed to cheat. Front office receptionist are very trained skilled impression managers with a plastic smile to cheat the customers to please the management. 10. . All the infrastructure and facilities are outdated age old and broken. There is no proper blankets in the bed. Not even proper bed sheets. Just a piece of cloth, hardly can cover a human body. The window blinders and the carpets are ugly. Stains of some emotional moments are seen every where. Ha ha such a shame! The running water from the taps and showers are weak and feeble. Comes like a thread… Lol new strategy of water and power conservation! Toiletries provided are sub standard and do not have any quality. It is shame that they extract huge amount of money from customers pocket without providing facilities and value for their services. 15. . Corridors, walkways, stairways are not cleaned properly. Full of dirt. Even the savages and used dishes are dumped in front of every rooms. Houseflies, insects, mosquitoes are breeding and flying all around. No comments about the quantity and the quality of the free breakfast served. This is the biggest robbery. Not given a reasonable quantity. No taste, no flavour. One slice of bread is cut into two is the breakfast. Uncooked meat, no fruits or vegetables. Chef? OMG any body can be a chef to cook these kind of food. Stray cats are roaming freely all around in the restuarent and dinning area. Stay cats, rats, mice are common in the restuarent...

This rating is supposed to be 4.5 Stars.

Kabaleyan Cove Resort, Inc. seems to be primarily designed as a multiple-pool resort that offers a number of pools accessible to guests.

They also have function rooms with different sizes that can be used for various functions. Their function rooms are much better when compared with the function rooms of similar nearby resorts.

We have stayed overnight several times and have primarily availed of their room service and spa services.

Room

We have used the Deluxe Room (2 pax) & the Junior Suite Room (4 pax) on different occasions for an overnight stay. They offer complimentary breakfast.

All the rooms we used were clean, & provided with clean bedding & towels. The "no smoking" policy helps to keep the room clean & fresh.

They have shampoo & liquid bath soap dispensers in the shower, & a water heater for the shower. They provide complimentary bottled drinking water. The shower heads in the rooms we used seem to be broken; only fine spray/mist of high-pressure water comes out.

The rooms have a closet, dresser/vanity mirror with chair, small dining table with chairs, a bedside desk with a lamp. They also have cable TV, telephone, & free Wi-Fi.

The Deluxe Room we used on the 2nd floor is smaller than the one on the ground floor, but the 2nd floor rooms have balconies. Given the glass doors that open to the balcony, it is quite tricky to completely close the blinds to make sure the people outside would not be able to see inside the room through the gaps between the blinds.

We just find it unfortunate that too often, the air-con units in the rooms we've stayed in, do not work properly (e.g., one did not cool enough, one did not oscillate the fins). They use inverter window type air-con, so they take hours to cool down the room.

Parking

So far, there is enough parking when we go during off peak season. Not sure how parking is during the peak season.

For the Junior Suite Rooms, we could park close to our units (off peak season).

For the Deluxe Rooms, parking is farther.

Service

Reservation was quite easy via email or mobile phone. It takes them a day or two to reply to email & text messages. And, to confirm reservation, a 50% down payment is requested. The down payment can be deposited in their bank account.

The personnel we interacted with from Reservation, Reception, Room Service, & Check-out were professional & polite.

We are glad that their spa personnel are also professional & polite; no "hanky panky", just real & professional spa service.

Ambience

The layout, design, & colors used give the resort a clean look that is pleasant to the eyes & gives the resort an upscale feel without the expensive rates. The resort seems well maintained; even the driveways are clean, free from trash.

During our visits (June & September), given the inland location & relatively flat landscape, the place could get too warm. It would be great if they could plant more trees on the property; trees that are big, with strong branches & thick foliage to offer shade.

When pools are filled with people, the noise can be heard even on the 2nd floor rooms. On the ground floor rooms, people talking while walking outside can be heard. The battery-powered vehicle of the resort can be heard inside the ground floor rooms as they pass by. Said noises are manageable.

In one of our visits, after we entered their main gate, there is an area on the left (near the gate) where stagnant water accumulated. On subsequent visits, said area was dry. Hopefully, whatever was causing the accumulation of stagnant water was addressed.

Food

So far, the dishes we've had are OK. Like the Chopseuy, Beef and Mushrooms, Daing Boneless Bangus, Beef Tapa, and Beef Papaitan (although the Beef Papaitan is quite salty for our taste). Given the size of the servings, their prices are reasonable.

We will definitely continue to stay at Kabaleyan Cove Resort, Inc. whenever we need a place to stay...
