HOW TO GET THERE:||||(from San Fernando Dolores-Junction Intersection)||1) Ride an Angeles jeepney in front of Greenwich. Ask the driver to drop you off at Baliti. Landmark: Coca-Cola, traffic light, intersection. Fare: P18||2) Walk past the gasoline station and look for a blue tricycle. Ask the driver to drop you off at Villa Antonina. Fare: P30||||Our class decided to hold our farewell outing at Villa Antonina, based on financial and location considerations. The entrance fees--P100 for day swimming, P120 for overnight-- are pretty standard, while our cottage rental--P3,100-- can definitely do better with interiors and room features. The television has only 4 channels, with no RC available. The water supply for the faucet turns on and off randomly. The interior is trying to go for rustic appeal, but it just comes off as unfinished, with the wall hollowblocks looking very unsightly. Restrooms are clean, thankfully.||||They say there's a lifeguard on duty until 12mn, but I can't seem to find him/her. Probably the person is donning a secret identity and would just put on a lifeguard costume when someone's in trouble? Heh. In any case, that's the reason that swimming between the hours of 12mn and 8am is prohibited.||||There are a lot of people sweeping the compound, which is great. People are roving around to make sure everything is in order.||||There are only three pools to share, and the slides are pretty standard fare. At night, the slide doesn't get lubricated (sorry) by water, so it's pretty annoying to use them at night.||||The snack bar is disappointing. There's no hot coffee/hot choco available, they have an ice cream freezer but there's no stock, the sellers are less than enthusiastic, and as far as I can see, the only thing they're selling is Chippy and a bunch of bottled drinks.||||Notes:||1) I don't drink, but I noticed this rule: San Mig Light= OK, Red Horse=NOT ok. There's also a corkage fee per case.||2) There are stores a block away, where they sell hot pandesal and breakfast.||3) Karaoke machines operate either by unlimited use (P500) or per song (P5).||4) For overnighters, they place a stamp on your arm so you can leave and return the resort anytime. Obviously, the water erases the stamp pad ink. Couldn't they just issue laminated...
Read moreI like their resort because of the abundance of trees in the area. No need for a lot walking to go to the pools but no life guards is around in case of an accident. We check-in villa 113. The kitchen is located down stair with a personal refrigerator. We are staying overnight so it was a big problem where to put our food. They should have a bigger refrigerator. The bedrooms is located up stairs. We are so annoyed because the 2 AC's in the room needs cleaning or should be changed already because it's not cooling the room . It is not a big room. We complain and we are given one stand fan. There should be another comfort room on the first floor because their villa can accommodate more than 20 persons. We are 25 in the group with one toilet and bathroom!||||They have a nice resort that needs a lot of improvement. By the way, we saw 1 cockroach in the bedroom. They should fumigate their older villas. They have new ones located at the back of...
Read moreJust spent the weekend here with my family. First of the Family Villa we rented is big and spacious. It has 2 rooms - 1 small room with a king size bed an ac and a ward robe and a big room with 2 queen size bed, a balcony overlooking the place, an ac, a tv and a dresser. The whole villa only has 1 toilet and bath with a water heater. Though the amenities are dated they still serve their purpose. Downstairs has a kitchen, a small entertainment area and a videoke (which you can use for P600) and a griller. They provide a portable stove with one butane that you can request at the reception counter. Check in process is ok and they require P500 security deposit which is refundable upon check out. Their pool is of a decent size and they change water daily. Overall our stay was superb and will ve...
