Find solitude here. Located in Buri Island of Brgy. Ambulong, this unique resort has an array of floating cottages where one can feel the soothing breeze of the sea and a one of a kind experience of becoming one with nature. Going to one of the cottages by a narrow bamboo bridge that connects them is a thrilling experience, just be careful. The resort is very appropriate to adopt the name Grace Island because it is blessed with abundant marine life, pristine and clear waters, and unparalleled landscape and scenery. There are also different activities perfect for individuals, families and other group gatherings. I also observed that the resort preserved its serenity even with being crowded with people. The island is surrounded by a walkway that freely allows strolling or biking by visitors. Because this is designed to be a retreat center there is a chapel at the hilltop to those who want to meditate. There are also cottages at the hilltop to those who were not used to be in floating cottages. The resort also offers various activities for those who want to be active and adventurous, like jetski, boat, kayak and other water activities that adds to the fun. Like my previous experience, I just want to be in solitude and to relax. And I was never disappointed. Though there are other visitors you still feel being isolated because of the way the cottages were placed as well as the ambiance. The food is good and the staff are very accommodating, friendly...
Read moreIt's a must see destination if you are looking for a more private and less commercialized beach in Mindoro. My family and I visited this place for a quick island getaway. It took us a 90-minute bangka ride from the Aroma Beach to get there. The Resort Staffs welcomed us with a band and drinks upon arrival. Few guests were there at that time so we felt like the place was exclusively ours for the whole day. We availed the day trip package which costs 6,500 PHP good for 10-15pax, inclusive of the bangka ride to get in and out of the island, welcome drinks, floating cottages, kayak, use of grill area, shower and comfort rooms. Other activities are not included in the package which you have to pay separately. They have a mini banana boat, snorkel, zipline, jetski, bicycle ride around the island. We enjoyed the waters so much. It's clean and well maintained. You can just jump straight out of your cottage to swim and enjoy the corals underneath. I think it is also a romantic place to stay during the night especially for couples. I'm planning to go back there with my partner. The resort staffs were very friendly and accommodating as well. The only downside is that, the cellular coverage in the resort is weak but they have an area near the shower rooms with signal if in case you need to make an important call or text. I hope this review...
Read more*This review is about the place in general based on a day-trip.||||Our visit to Grace Island was sort of unplanned so we thought we could just hop on their daily ferry from San Jose Occ Mindoro. Turns out you have to book at least 2 days in advance so they can prepare for your visit.||||Anyway, after asking around we were able to hire a local boatman for Php 3k who took us on a one day island hopping which included a stop in Grace Island which is located in Ambulong Island, about an hour & half boat ride fromSan Jose.||||The place offers several type of accommodations, what’s unique are the floating huts connected by floating bridges (check out the photos). It would be nice to stay here but it may get really warm on a windless day. Also, it does not come w/ toilets so be prepared to do your number 1 on potties. For No 2, you need to walk back to the toilets inland. Accommodations are pricey to our standards.||||The staff were very accommodating. Despite our unannounced visit, they went out of their way to cook us our lunch (which was actually allocated for the following day’s guests).||||Check out some videos, link...
