Besides beautiful beach and nice swimming pool and good rooms. There's lack of security and reaction time for emergencies. Earlier around lunchtime someone reported someone stole 10k pesos and told the staff but the staff didnt announce of the theft to others. Later at midnight 3 teenagers stole 4 cellphones, 2 bags filled with ids, licenses, credit cards, thousands of cash and others from cottages 1 and 3. The teenagers took advantage of the dark night, lack of roaming security, and drunk visitors while on foot at 2 am when one of the visitors screamed after her bag was snatched from her sleep and the 3 ran towards the dark beach that had no walls or barriers that keeps out intruders into the property. When everyone realized what happened the security or staff wasn't anywhere to be found after an hour we had to go to the police station personally because there's no cell reception. There was a cctv cameras but it took 7 hours to review it only to be told the last recording was 5 months ago.

Summery: please update the security of the place, add walls or a cctv camera pointing to the beach side since its a big blind spot, hire more security guards, increase wifi spots with wifi extenders to the whole resort.

Side note: one of the staff was answered rudely when one of the visitors that just arrived ask for the wifi password. (Did you lose the password already?) I get that dealing with guests is stressful but no need to be rude, they came to the resort to have a good time not...

My best friend's wedding was held here.

It's geographically beautiful. The entire resort is facing the ocean, and has 2 swimming pools if its own.

The food is 'okay', and by that I mean, just okay. Sometimes bland, and one time their sinigang was pretty close to just being water.

They're in the middle of the renovation right now (as of Sept 21, 2023), and some of their new rooms are stunning, while the old ones were pretty decent but had smell of oldness in them.

Service was not the best. They had no general managers on shift, and failed to deliver on their promises to some of the guests including us - such as adding an additional bed for our group (they instead provided us with a foam and left it outside our room without informing us), they had no supervisors on shift during my best friend's wedding (they booked the entire place, and was supposedly exclusive to us) which resulted in delays, miscommunication, and disappointment for the newly wed.

Also, they were not kind enough to stop their renovation DURING THE WEDDING CEREMONY. They had promised us earlier that they would cease all renovation activities during the sacred ceremony, but that too was not fulfilled.

On the day of our flight, their in house transportation servuce was 30 mins late from the initial call time, which is huge since you have to travel for at least 40 mins to get to...

Our family had planned to visit Guimaras May 30th (today) to celebrate a nephew's birthday. We had chosen Playa de Paraiso since photos looked promising off their Facebook page. We got there before 8am. We were greeted at the reception and we had opted to get ourselves a cottage that would accommodate 25 people. As we were trying to arrange this with the reception, we asked a copy of their menu to have our lunch ordered ahead of time. To our surprise she had told us that they DID NOT have ANY FOOD TO SERVE for today because the resort had been booked for 3 days. What resort would not have any food on stock? So we offered some cash for them to at least send someone to buy fresh fish, poultry and pork so we can have them cooked. She said there was no one they can ask to do that, instead we can go over to the fishermen outside, and see if they had caught anything for the day and maybe, just maybe, we can buy and have it cooked at the resort...and THEN she suggested we can also check out the resort next door (Vilches Resort) since they also had a pool and food there. In my entire life, this is the first time a resort has strongly deflected us, rejected our money, and even sent us on our way and pointed us to their business competition. No manger was there to face us. So we went to the other resort, and we spent over 10k, enjoyed ourselves...

Rustic and calm, it captures the mood of the entire island. Don't expect much, it's a getaway for anyone who lives in the city and want to have an authentic island beach experience. The beach is average and there are pools for all ages. The resort is well maintained. Pricing is good, not too expensive on facility charges and entrance fees. There are function halls if you want to hold some events here. There are several cottages, benches and other places for you to hang out. They also have basketball and tennis courts and sports equipment if you are into those kind of things. The resort layout is well planned. They only offer wifi for hotel guests staying the night, which is a disappointment since the resort area has bad cell coverage even if it's in 4G. They offer kite surfing/parasailing of some sort and it will be opened on October. Staff and guards are polite and friendly, very easy to talk to and always helpful. There is ample parking space for vehicles. Perfect for an average city person that wants to have a beach resort all to themselves since the resort is wide and not overcrowded.

The room is clean, and the bathroom is spacious, offering a touch of luxury for a 3-star setup. The staff are accommodating and always willing to help. It's great for relaxation, with a beautiful view framed by coconut trees.
