Come as guest leave as friend Come as guest leave as friend, is Easy Diving's motto. And yes, I think so. I made some friends here. Easy Diving and Beach Resort is beautifully located on Punta Ballo Beach around 15 minutes from downtown Sipalay. Expect to pay around 200-250 PHP to the tricycle driver. The Resort has 20 air-conditioned bungalows plus 2 bungalows with fan. The bungalow was very fresh Since I don't like air-condition I booked my bungalow with fan instead, actually there were two fans. Everything was very fresh and clean. The bungalow had a nice little porch with two chairs and a table where you could sit in the evenings and enjoy the quietness and practice stargazing. A so called free WiFi was included as a pocket WiFi. As far as I remember you had 3 GB of load for free. When you had consumed that you had to pay extra to get an additional 3 GB load. I was told this was only temporary until they had fixed a more permanent WiFi solution. I hope they did. The food heaven In the restaurant they served excellent food, both Filipino and European style. The tuna steaks became quickly my favourites. Not to mention the delicious pancake with fresh mango and ice cream which was really addictive! In the evenings the atmosphere was really cozy in the restaurant. I was just sitting there inhaling the sea breeze and watched the sunset and contemplated about how good life was. Easy Diving has lots to offer Easy Diving offers a lot, specially for those who are divers and I was told there are some really good diving spots just near. But even snorkelling was good if you swam enough out from the shore line. All the staff, from the owner to the room service were all very friendly and helpful. My highlights were the food, the quietness and beautiful location by the sea and not to mention my stargazing moments from my porch. Conclusions about Easy Diving Resort I paid 2300 PHP per night for the bungalow with fan and breakfast included. That was competitive when I compared with other resorts in the same area at Punta Ballo Beach. The location of Easy Diving is more convenient than those resorts at the famous Sugar Beach which is only accessible by boat. But be aware of the stairs, if you can't or don't like to walk in stairs then Easy Diving might not be for you. There are many stairs to walk when moving around in the resort. Aside from that, the food, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness in the bungalow were excellent. Rating: 1-5 where 1 is terrible and 5 is excellent 5 Location 5 Sleep Quality 5 Rooms 5 Service 5 Value for the money 5 Cleanliness

When I found myself in Bacolod I convinced myself it would be worthwhile to spend a week in Punta Ballo in Sipalay. I came to the conclusion that The Easy Diving and Beach resort was the best value accommodation if compared price and services. The Easy Diving Beach Resort has been a mixed experience. First of all the pros 1) Older resort kept in good condition with simple but smart rooms. 2) The cleanliness in the rooms and throughout the resort is excellent 3) The gardens are well kept. 4) The resort has direct beach access 5) The staff is extremely friendly and helpful 6) The restaurant has a beautiful location. 7) The owner is very welcoming and trying to communicate with all the guests. Second the few minor cons of the hotel 1) The standard rooms are insanely noisy. Zero privacy. It's possible to completely follow the entire conversation in the next room 2) At first glance the food in the restaurant looks reasonably priced but everything like rice, vegetables, salad is extra which makes it a little on the expensive side. The taste of the food is good but not excellent. 3) No free water provided in the room nor is there a water dispenser. Buy water at the restaurant for 70 pesos only 4) As the distance from the room to the restaurant is far and running is out of the question due to the steep climb, ascent, there is no umbrella in the room. Make sure you ask for an umbrella at the restaurant before heading to your room to avoid getting stuck during a long rain storm. 5) The manager lost interest after I wasn't interested in doing a dive course. 6) Unfortunately this resort doesn't take care of the beach enough in front of the hotel. Even it does not belong to the hotel and it's a lot of work it's an absolutely must to keep the beach rubbish free. Overall this is a well established property and the pros outnumber the negatives. I wouldn't come back but that's not because of the resort but simply because I think Punta Ballo Beach in itself is nothing special. There are much better beaches in the Philippines. The Easy Diving and Beach resort is an excellent pick if you find yourself in Punta Ballo, Negros Occidental, The Philippines. The free t-shirt upon departure was a wonderful gesture. Review for the Dive Safari My wife and I did a dive safari with Easy Diving-Savedra Diving in late Jan 2018, and we loved it! The dive instructors: Mel and Noynoy were fantastic divemasters / leaders. Funny, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. The boat: Fantastic boat, plenty of place to chill between dives, great for an overnight stay (we opted to stay on the boat rather than the resorts. This was partially to save money, and also... If we had the money, we'd prefer doing this!). The crew - Grace and her team, and the boatboys, were super-friendly and helpful, made diving a breeze (swim?). The idea itself: What a cool idea, doing this safari. Putting together lots of remote locations together, and all in a very budget-friendly package. The dives themselves were mostly fabulous. Lots of turtles, sea snakes, corals, sardines and much more. There were a few niggles - Savedra was sometimes late to reply on email (mostly not an issue, but once I needed a document for visa purposes badly), one of the most sought-after dive sites was under danger of not being visited because of bad planning (but finally we did end up going there), and they have limited diving gear (I had to do a cold trip in a shortie. I didn't mind much, I discovered I had a very useful resistance to cold water, but it could have very easily swung the other way and I could have had a terrible trip). But overall, these niggles could be overlooked by what was a terrific experience, with some lovely people. Thank you Mel, Noynoy and everyone else at both diving destinations! (Oh, and the resort itself was gorgeous, though more expensive than what I would have generally paid. But for the price it seems great, I'm usually more in backpacker territory)

Really, in many aspects the services offered when they sell this on the Internet to those who receive it leave a lot to be desired, the qualities that are offered and those that are received and even more so when it comes to a RESORT, we are not talking about a cheap motel we are talking about a RESORT which when charging and setting prices is charged as such... But at the end of the day we are understandable people and not very picky and we ignore the vast majority, because we prefer to focus on enjoying what we have and where we are. But the air conditioning thing already seems like a joke. 1 We arrive and see an air conditioner that looks older than me (without taking into account how old or not it already looks like it is repaired with duct tape in a bad way) I repeat as soon as we arrive, that in theory a place that offers services When it comes to accommodation, a minimum prior inspection of what is being sold is usually carried out. What really was a joke was having to notify them 4 or even 5 times to come and repair it. That at 5 in the afternoon if you have a problem you don't have anyone to solve absolutely anything and in this case you have to eat up the night being hot in a place where you have paid and that when they fix it 4/5 times a At 2 or 3 o'clock it stops working and you have no one to complain to except the poor waitresses who are not their responsibility. I think knowing all this and knowing that the air is no longer working, why do we keep trying to fix it again? and it is not changed for a new one? In the end, with each failed attempt to fix it, the only ones affected by the consequences of it breaking down again are the customers. (THOSE OF US ARE PAYING...) It seems like a joke. Today I told them to fix it twice just in case they don't forget, they told me no problem and I came back and they hadn't even looked at it. last day.. What can I say about the last day... after notifying for the fifth time three days ago that the air was broken, they left us without air again to finish the "perfect" stay and if that were not enough, they made the bed and Before leaving they put the latch so that we had to force the window to enter, since obviously having returned from the sea at 5:30 p.m. we no longer had anyone at the reception to complain or ask for help. In short, by far and away Easy Daving is the worst place to stay in Negros Island, in the Philippines and if you ask me anywhere in the world you can imagine. I hope and pray for everyone's sake that no one ever considers staying here. And about the restaurant service, I don't know if we are the most clueless girls in the world or if they like making fun of customers, but rest assured that one out of every three things you ask of them will be wrong. And if you are worried about finding yourself in these problems, do not try to order food from outside or bring it because at the entrance they make it clear that this option is prohibited. I am not used to write reviews but our experience as guests here was not really good and I will explain why: First of all, we arrived to the hotel and we found out that there were MANY stairs up to go to the rooms, while the reception and restaurant are located at the bottom, at the sea level. Why not pictures of this condition? We went with my mom who is 63 and if we knew this condition from the beginning, for sure we would not have booked this hotel. In fact, she fell at night due to the big steps of the stairs and no handrails, adding the poor visibility because of low lights in the more of 90 steps. Why you did not warn about this? Zero family/senior citizen friendly. First lie. Second one could be that in Agoda (where we made the reservation) ALL ROOMS are offered with a TV, telephone and fridge and it was also not true. We booked 2 rooms, Standard with aircon: no drinking water, no fridge, no TV, no kettle. I think with a price of 50€ per night, those things could be included. (Taking into account the tap water is not drinkable in the Philippines). We have been in much cheaper guesthouses where all of that was included. And the other room we booked was a Deluxe Bungalow which had drinking water and fridge but not TV as offered in Agoda (65€ per room per night). The aircon was incredibly noisy in both rooms. Also note that no stores in the surroundings, you are trapped and forced to eat at their restaurant, in which they lasted ALWAYS more than 30 minutes to serve the food even with no other customers in the restaurant. The food was not bad but the menu was a little bit pretentious, a lot of "fresh" word you can find written in the menu when it is not, like the milk. Another ugly detail we found out is that with the free breakfast that says coffee/tea, my husband asked if they had hot chocolate and they said yes but they never warned us that it was out of the free breakfast and we had to pay for it, which we found out in the final bill. Would have been a good detail to mention this... Also the environmental fees were charged and we dont really understand why, as we did not snorkel or dive in any marine sanctuary... On the other hand, I am a diver and I expected to have a couple of dives there but when I saw all of these tricks, I didn't feel comfortable anymore and I decided to not go diving with them. Also mention that the bathrooms of the rooms are very good which is also difficult to find in the Philippines and the bed was comfortable as well. The bread in the restaurant was also good and I really appreciated it. With a Swiss owner, we dont understand the low standards and the ugly details of this hotel. It seems that it had its best life 20 years ago. Not anymore. We expected better conditions for the prices. Low your prices or improve the details of your place and tell the truth. Over all, we would not repeat here. We felt really scammed at this place. It does not worth this money. *Review from a...
