Amazing stay at family friendly Lopez Beach Resort in Sipalay, Negros Occidental. The resort has a beautiful mountain-backed beach-front view, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I very much appreciated the ideal location (access is roadside) and the availability and well-placed parking spaces inside the resort and direct access to the pool and the beach which was just a couple of steps away from our loft room. I was very impressed that we were greeted with complimentary drinks and chilled towels after the long drive. The resort is well-maintained, and the loft rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and modern, fully equipped with kitchen and dining necessities and all the other amenities needed. I love the fact that there are no corkage fees for the food that we brought with us, so it gave us options to either cook or order food from the resort’s Bayview restaurant so that was a definite plus for me. We especially loved the special arrangements that the LBR resort staff happily arranged for us, lunch and dinner on the beachfront and on the Lopez Fisherman’s Wharf Bridge (you guys must experience this). We also had a blast with the island hopping and snorkeling activities as well (with a reasonable fee of course). I also must commend the food and drinks (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic) we ordered at the resort’s Bayview Restaurant, it was delicious! The staff were exceptional, efficient, incredibly friendly and very accommodating, making us feel right at home. Overall, it was a unique and highly satisfying vacation experience. Highly recommended and a definite regular 5 star special getaway place for me and my family here in...
Read moreMy family and I recently stayed at this resort, and unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations. Here’s a breakdown of the issues we encountered:
Internet Connection: The internet was practically unusable, and what made it worse was that the resort did not give a proper heads-up about the unstable internet in the area. Had we been informed, we could have brought our own backup connection.
Beach Condition: The beach was a major disappointment. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and looked nothing like the photos they advertised. The disparity between the pictures and reality is unacceptable and misleading.
Pool: The pool was small, dirty, and filled with sand, making it neither inviting nor hygienic.
Breakfast Service: Guests are not given a choice of breakfast. The resort simply provides random, assorted meals, which is far from the service level expected in a resort setting.
Room Issues: We stayed in the Executive Loft, and both air conditioners in the upper area were not working, making the room uncomfortable. Additionally, there was a foul smell in the comfort room when we arrived, and the exhaust fan wasn’t functional.
Pet Policy: While the resort charged ₱500 per pet, we were surprised to see aspins (stray dogs) roaming freely around the property. This inconsistency made the pet fee feel unwarranted.
The lack of transparency, cleanliness, and quality amenities made this stay disappointing. Considering we paid 40k for a 3D2N stay, it was absolutely not worth the cost. With so many other options available, I cannot recommend this resort unless significant changes...
