If what you want is a room that looks cool and a breathtaking view you will reach here. If you are also looking for the most basic things you expect to get from a guest house or hotel then this is not the place, we will start from the basics - on the first day we got the room full of ants, after a short check we discovered the source was a dead cockroach under the bed, the toilets were dirty with used toilet paper on The toilet, just repulsive, we took the room with the private pool which is dirty, for example - dead frog in the water, green in the bottom of the pool, and dead murmurs in the water, leaves etc. I asked them to clean the pool because I wanted to enter, it did not happen, they just took it out The frog and that's it. Needless to say, I did not enter this pool and just paid for the expensive room without enjoying it, it actually turned out that I paid for the expensive room when in fact I got a room with a bed and air only. There is no internet The reception is very weak so even if you have a local SIM it does not help so much, there is no hot water in the shower, the flow of water is very weak you can hardly shower, one day from our stay we had no water at all so there was no way to shower, and it was terrible because in the same One day we returned after a long hike full of mud. We did not find an alternative room and did not find a solution, the good thing that can be said in this case is that they said we would decide how much to pay them for their stay with them (which was nice and considerate on their part) in addition they have no vegan or vegetarian options for breakfast at all. They agreed to give me coffee instead of a meal. The service is not so kind, we feel like guests we tried to be kind and nice and did not get even a little back, not even a smile, noisy shouts answered you specifically about what we asked and that's it. Staying at the place a bit caused a bitter feeling in general from the whole of Sikihur, I think if we had stayed in another place with good attitude and good basic conditions the being than Sikhor would have been much better. It is important for me to emphasize again - the place can only suit nature lovers, otherwise if you are not like that in my opinion you will suffer.

Another thing that is important for me to note - if you come in the winter or in a season when it is raining pay attention. On our last day it rained in the morning (lucky we left on this day) the whole room was full of water because of cracks in the walls, the whole bed was wet from the rain that penetrated through the walls! We were really lucky to leave on this day, otherwise I do not know how we would have slept when they had no alternative for us the day before with the problem of water...

Avoid this place – it completely ruined our Siquijor experience

If you're considering staying here, be aware: not all drivers will agree to take you because the location is remote, high up, and the road is in terrible shape—if it exists at all. The few drivers who will take you usually charge 400–500 PHP, sometimes more.

The place looks nice from the outside, but inside it's a different story. This was by far the worst place we've stayed in during our time in the Philippines.

We entered a stuffy room that clearly hadn’t been opened or aired out in a long time. You knew we were coming—why not prepare the room? The room was full of ants, which were probably drawn by a dead insect under the bed. Ants were crawling on the walls, along with lizards and even a cockroach. The shelves were dusty and dirty. The bath towels they gave us were stained, smelled bad, and even had bugs caught in the fibers. The toilet seat was broken and filthy.

There was no ventilation for the bathroom, so every smell and bit of moisture just leaked into the bedroom. The shower had almost no water pressure, no hot water, no mirror above the sink, and the property had zero Wi-Fi and almost no cellular reception.

On our second night, after a long and muddy day of exploring in the rain, we returned to the room ready for a hot shower—only to discover there was no water at all. We waited over an hour and a half, and eventually were told to shower in the shared bathrooms outside—while it was still raining. Staff simply said there was "nothing they could do."

Breakfast was supposed to be included with our stay. Since they didn’t offer any vegan options, we asked (twice!) to exchange it for two coffees. We were told no—because two coffees cost more than one breakfast. That’s just petty.

On our last morning, we went to eat and settle the bill, but were caught in a heavy downpour and had to wait out the storm at the restaurant for about an hour. When we finally returned to our room, we found half the bed soaking wet and water flooding the floor—leaking in from under the walls. (We have photos and videos.)

Thankfully, that was the day we were leaving.

As mentioned before, transportation to and from the property is difficult and costly. We asked the staff for help getting down with our bags. They agreed, which we assumed was just part of the service—but they ended up charging us 150 PHP. Not a huge amount, but after everything we went through, a bit of kindness or compensation would’ve gone a long way.

Bottom line: even if you're looking for somewhere quiet or off the tourist track, there are plenty of better options in Siquijor. This place was a disaster from the moment we arrived. Do yourself a favor and stay...

(we are traveling for over 6months in SEA on a budget) The view for the sunset is nice, but thats about it. Rooms are somewhat pricey if you compare them to other hotels in the mountains here. Bathrooms are unusable except in the morning because they house biiig colonies of ants( yes its nature, but this is really too much, we are normally not picky when it comes to ants/Wildlife. But they are all over the toilet seats).

Breakfast was not available at 8am because the chef was gone and we pre paid for it with our room on arrival. (???) We are still waiting for it at 8:45 while writing this.

WiFi never works except for 1 minute at a time, then 15 minutes off. Better not advertise it at all if its not really working ...we are aware that we are in the mountains.

The prices for the Bungalow huts (25$) are insanely high for what you get here elsewhere.

Everything feels a bit run down and could use some maintanace.

All in all highly disappointed of our stay.

3/10. Cant really recommend it besides for the sunset (wich you can get everywhere here in the mountains for free as well)

I feel honestly sorry for the bad review, but it feels like a honeypot for milking tourists. Do your homework and you will find much better places with cheaper prices as well

EDIT: Its 9:00 am(waiting over 1hour for a breakfast)and still no breakfast whatsoever. No info as well. All stuff just walked away. We never had this kind of service anywhere...
