Location: 1/10 The location is really far from the main road and you can get easily lost if not guided by the locals. It's also not advisable to drive at night because the streets have no lamps and it's beside a clif. Cleanliness: 0/10 We've booked a few rooms over the weekend and all of the bathrooms were so dirty! We literally needed to clean it ourselves but one particular bathroom had an UNDERWEAR in the bathroom when we checked in. We doubted it was cleaned before we checked in. The bed is so old like the spring is already pflat on some areas of the bed. Facilities: 7/10 there are 3 pools. The 2 pools are less than 5ft. The wave pool is nice. The beach is dirty and no one will be able to swim there. They really need to renozvate the rooms. Staff: 3/10 We were unable to reach them via call, email, and social media. We're not sure who's handling their accounts or phone but we were only able to talked to them once and after that no more. During our stay the reception area isn't 24/7 so by 11pm we weren't able to contact anyone for our concerns. Food: 8/10 The food is good. It was hot when it was served but we were concerned when we asked if the food is sweet or salty and the staff responded "it depends on the cook" so a dish of tapa can either be sweet or salty depending on the mood of the cook??? Lol Price: 7/10 the place may be affordable compared to other hotels but if you're planning to go here maybe just have a day tour instead of staying the night. I think that would be the best option.

The good: Nice pools, especially the new one with waves. Slides were cool too. The staff that were there were very nice and attentive. There weren't a lot of guests and (as of today) promo rates are super affordable. The buldin design does give a moroccan feel. The Bad: Staffing was limited (as there were not much guests). Restaurant is only until 8pm. The rooms were clean but outdated. Water pressure isn't that strong and use of extra towels has a cost. There is no WIFI and mobile data signal in the room were wonky. It is difficult to work while there. The beach is bad. Think about the black sand beaches around the area and imagine it not maintained and garbage being washed into the sand. Overall, it's worth the current low price. I actually went here several years ago and it was a new resort with prime amenities (at its peak, this was where they shot Agua Bendita) but time has not maintained it well and Covid probably hit staffing hard. Hope it turns a corner.

This is a unique hotel with a nice setting and view of Subic Bay. I’m sure it was much nicer the first few years of operations. But the access is a bit challenging. From town, you have to drive through a native community with very narrow roads with many trikes parked in the road. But once you get through that, it gets better until you enter the first gate. You drive through what looks like a ghost town. Many paved streets with very few homes. The hotel is grand but maintenance seems to be neglected. If you don’t look too closely, it still looks nice. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Not sure about the management. Complimentary breakfast is very nice. And plenty of food. Lots of fruit too! Pool is large and mostly clean. The Activity Center is permanently closed, so no more bowling or billiards. Overall we enjoyed our few days here, even though we were the only guests.

Most likely the furthest away from all the beach resorts in the area, this property may not be in the heart of all the action, but it does provide the seclusion and privacy if that is more your speed. The property is a bit dated and at one point could have rivaled any exclusive resort in the area, and whoever originally designed it, had the right vision in mind. I think with a little investment, this property could once again shine like it’s beginning.||The current staff are very friendly and accommodating. When they realize that we had elderly in our party that could not go up the second floor to our Executive Suite rooms, they suggested we stay in a first-floor villa at no additional charge. When we had to extend the next day due to unplanned events, they were more than accommodating. When we ordered food from the restaurant after arriving late afternoon, it was delivered to our villa including our order of ice-cold beer in a bucket of ice. When we requested an extra bed, since we had one additional person in our party, it was delivered without an issue.||I think the concern that most reviewers had was probably that they were excepting more than what they paid for. Although we didn’t stay in the Executive Suite as originally planned, when I did a walkthrough, I would have been happy with room and maybe would have thought it as a bargain. I was satisfied staying in a villa instead because we were able to connect 2 rooms together, and it was accessible for our elderly guest.||The real reason we stayed here is because we are avid hikers and wanted to hike Mount Balingkilat. See my review of Mount Balinkilat for more details. This property is closest to the trail head (15 minutes away) and I would consider it an ideal jump point.||Unfortunately, I was not able to see or swim in the beach because of our long day hike, however upon arrival, I was able to swim in the large 6+ feet pool closest to the hotel which was clean and very refreshing!||If you are looking for a 5-star property, then you should pay 5-star prices which you are not with this property. This property is a real bargain and value for what it currently has to offer, and I would be happy to stay here again in the future especially if I’m doing additional hikes...

Cleanliness: "The room was clean"

Location: "The location was a bit inconvenient not close to all food establishment."

Services: "The Housekeeping staff was incredibly friendly." "The Night Front Desk is extremely accommodating when it comes to arranging food delivery, especially since their restaurant closes at 8PM" "The Security Guard in Main Gate was rude and unhelpful."

Rooms: The air conditioning unit is still malfunctioning despite multiple complaints to housekeeping. We have been unable to sleep at night due to the lack of proper cooling. When seeking assistance at the reception area, we found their staff sleeping on the sofa.

Amenities: "The hotel had a great pool in wave area." "The hotel advertised a bowling area, but it was actually closed." "Payment is required to play Billiards, however, the majority of the hotel amenities are complimentary."

Restaurant: "The restaurant is closed at 8PM, we cannot buy anything beyond 8PM. "

Sleep Quality: "The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet."

Value for Money: "The hotel was overpriced for what we got. We could have found a better hotel for less money."

Overall Recommendation: I would definitely not get back to this hotel and will not recommend this to my friends and co-worker. The reviews really lived up to their reputation. It is such a waste for a...
