Stayed here for THREE weeks with my partner.|Would I stay here again - most certainly - in fact I/we are staying here for 19 nights late April-Early May 2023 - cant wait?|Why? The property was excellent. Comfortable room, excellent bathroom facilities with everything working as expected or required.|Nothing was too much trouble for the excellent Reception staff who were very welcoming, efficient and pleasant. We were greeted with a Christmas Tree and carols on our arrival 2nd November - an early start to the festive period!! A little different to the U.K at least from my experience. The weather on arrival was in the mid 20C which was also a little different to back home. |I recall we had only one chair in the lounge area of our very well otherwise equipped double bedded room together with TV showing BBC World Service and WiFi was also available - an additional chair would have been helpful - perhaps I will request a further chair on my next visit.|Our bathroom consisted of a very efficient shower cubicle, bidet, hand basin and WC all in good working condition and clean. Only ONE negative comment relating to the shower partition and excess water being able to flow onto the bathroom floor making it potentially slippery and a hazard (not a big issue though)|Our deluxe room was on the first floor and faced the highway and coast running from Tacloban City towards San Jose - not particularly noisy but ok. This hotel is also well served by various types of public transport e.g Jeeps, tricycles/motor bikes and taxis - something for everybody whenever required.|The accommodation was on a Bed and Breakfast basis either in the Dining Room or delivered directly to your room. The breakfast was reasonably variable consisting of both the customary rice, eggs, and selection of fruit which was ample. Im planning on taking breakfast in the dining room on my next visit rather than delivered to our room.| Another useful nearby facility is the Airport offering flights directly to Manila.|The dining room/restaurant provides evening meals if required - again we did try the adequate food although again we chose to eat in our room.|Access to the local beaches isn't at first clearly evident to the visitor - it can be accessed directly across the road from the hotel entrance down a rather rough and sometimes water logged track. The nearby beaches provide open views out to sea and towards Samar in the distance. The sea and beaches although quiet and very pleasant are good for immersing ones body in the warm sea - very relaxing.|Would highly recommend this very pleasant and affordable (by UK Standards!!) hotel.|Congratulations to all involved in making our time there so pleasant and enjoyable.|On TWO occasions we were awoken/disturbed by the fire alarms being activated at night allegedly by people smoking in there rooms - very...
Read moreThey say looks can be deceiving and don't believe everything you read. This is 100 % true at this location. When you arrive you see a beautiful hotel and when you read the description it talks about beautiful white sand beaches. Great! Breakfast included. In actuality, this is the biggest dump of a hotel I've ever seen. The rooms have no windows. I have traveled all over the world and this is the first hotel that I have ever found that does not have a window in the room. We were a couple visiting and they would only provide us with one key and the key was necessary to keep the lights on. So if one person was sleeping and the other one wanted to leave the room they were not able to because if they took the key the air conditioning and the lights were turned off and if they left the key they would have to wake the other person up when they return. There is no shower curtain in the washroom so when you take a shower the whole washroom gets flooded and wet including your toilet seat and towels and any toiletries you have in the washroom. Let me tell you about the beautiful white sand beaches that they say they have here. First of all, you have to walk 10 minutes in muddy puddles before you reach the water. There is no white sand and there is no Beach. It is a swamp. Now to let me tell you about the great breakfast that they have in the morning. It consists of one egg and some rice. If you want a second egg they charge you extra. If you want coffee they charge you extra. I was booked here for 3 days. After 2 days we decided to leave and forfeit the 3rd Day payment because this was so bad. I tried contacting bookings.com but they're useless, unlike Expedia who would have solved the problem immediately. Bookings.com is an English company from the United Kingdom and they are lazy and useless. If you do decide to stay at this lousy hotel against my advice, just remember one thing...
