Nature’s Village Resort situated in Talisay is a complex that offers lodging, function halls, a cafe, an organic farm, and swimming pool.

Was billeted here for 6 nights and 7 days for work where I stayed in their Premier room. It was spacious, with a lot of floor space with nothing on it which was, honestly, too spacious for my taste.

Good points:

The hotel is surrounded by trees and greeneries. If you’re from the Metro like me, this is a welcome change from the concrete jungle and chaotic traffice I’m used to. The overall place is serene with the natural comfort nature brings. Jogging or walking early in the morning will make you appreciate the place more.

The hotel has an organic farm that you can visit and even buy veggies from. This farm supplies the hotel with fresh veggies for dishes and even drinks. My favorite drink the hotel serves is their juice made from gabi leaves, calamansi, and honey—it’s one of the most refreshing drinks in the country.

They have a lap pool (25 meters) that is open from 7 am to 7 pm. Locals visit the pool to swim for exercise so you will feel motivated to do your drills.

The food served in the resto and their buffet is not bad. I loved their Honey Glazed chicken and their fries that is made from potatoes and then breaded. They also have a breakfast buffet (check the schedule) that serves simple yet yummy food. Usually this includes sausages, Filipino bfast food such as dried fish and tocino, and an omellete station.

The staff of the hotel is generally nice althought the staff in the resto seemed to be more warm (Hello to Sir Joab and Miss Paula❤️) than the staff in the front desk—perhaps because a lot in the frontdesk appear to be interns who may be nervous as they learn the trade.

Shoutout also to one of the wait staff who really went out of his way to adjust to the needs of a vegan colleague—since there was no vegan food in our menu, he always tried to offer alternatives to my colleague.

Things to improve:

The paintings in the wall of the rooms seem a bit kitsch. It doesn’t fit well with the otherwise modern feel of the rooms.

Also, there’s too much empty space in the premier room that at night it really feels creepy. To be fair though, I was able to use the extra space to do yoga and floor exercises.

Perhaps an interior designer can review how to utilize the space and to give the rooms a more coherent look.

The hotel also needs to manage the function halls better. One of our groups was suddenly relocated because there was another event that seemed to be double-booked for that specific hall. The hotel did not even warn our group beforehand which really felt very unprofesh.

Other than these, my stay we very pleasurable. Waking up to the sunrise and all the trees, seeing the sunrise and the sunset from the 5th floor was really...

Nature's Village hosted our large family reunion for several days, and many of us stayed several nights for the event.

The bad:

-We had a constant leak under our sink that soaked a towel we put on the floor within a few hours. I let the front desk know after the first night when I noticed it, and they said they would send someone up while we were gone, but I don't know if they did, because nothing changed with the leak.

-The AC units in the bedrooms were very loud. Not as loud as another hotel we stayed at in Bacolod, but it was very noticeable.

-There is one small elevator from the lobby to the upper floors. It's very slow. One of our rooms was also directly above the lobby, which if you took the elevator, meant you had to walk through an outside balcony from the wing the elevator is in to the wing your room is in. Just a little weird and confusing.

-There was construction while we were there. Once when we were getting ready to leave, one of our party staying on the second floor in the neighboring wing went to use the stairs instead of the elevator, but construction was blocking the stairs so she was late.

-Wifi was not working in our rooms and seemed down throughout most of the resort.

-The water filter dispensers didn't have hot water (we tried several).

The good:

-Great breakfast. The food is locally sourced and much of it comes from their own garden/farm. They also had great drinks and a made to order omlette station. The restaurant sitting area was also clean and didn't get too loud even when crowded.

-The staff were lovely and helpful.

-The resort is set on its own land, so you're pretty well isolated from the noise of the surrounding businesses and street.

-The rooms are huge.

-Each room had an individual hot water heater under the sinks, and the hot water was very nicely hot.

-The shower and toilet are each in their own rooms from the sink and vanity. It made sharing a room really nice, although some rooms have a layout where the toilet and shower rooms are facing each other across the sink area, so if you're sharing one of those rooms, it might get dangerous to open the doors.

-There is a LOT of land. Our reunion was able to host our huge family photoshoot of maybe 100 people on one of the lawns, and then our reunion gala used one of three ballrooms set behind the hotel, within quick walking distance to the hotel, which was great when I needed to swap shoes and also when it started raining after the gala and we were headed back to our rooms.

-As well as having a lot of land, the resort is very beautiful. It was lovely to walk around in the mornings and evenings.

Definitely recommend this place if you are hosting a large group in Bacolod. There are a few minor annoyances (the AC, Wifi, water leaks, etc), but they did great to host so...

Relaxing place to stay with beautiful surroundings. The place is beautifully landscaped. Plan to take some time just walking around enjoying the gardens. The rooms are very nice, clean except that my pillow had an unpleasant smell for some reason, my only negative thing to say. They have good water pressure and a hot shower. The TV is a good one and the cable system provides good programs to enjoy. The price of the room at p1,400 is reasonable, larger rooms cost a little more. The pool is very nice but stays busy everyday with local swimming lessons. There were 50 or so children in the pool up to the time of the pool closing. It's a good thing that they allow this kind of local use, but it does make it nearly impossible for guests to use the pool. We had a 2 year old who wanted to swim, so we just went in anyway and enjoyed it. However, I watched a family with 2 children in their bathing suits leave without swimming because of the crowd. I suggested to the management that the pool hours should be extended for guests to be able to use. If enough of us give this feedback, perhaps they'll listen. The restaurant is excellent. The complimentary breakfast is a buffet with a cook preparing eggs or pancakes and he was fantastic, all included with your room price. We didn't eat dinner there but based on their breakfast I would expect it to be equally as good at resort level prices. I found the staff to be friendly, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the nature Village Resort. When I return to this area, I'll stay here again.
