Beach Club Cagpo — Hotel in Torrijos

Ok so if you are looking ror the comforts of a 3, 4 or even 5 star hotel this is not for you.

You do need to have a car as transport to and from the resort is very little

However, what it is - is a great place ti escape the hectic day to day life even though the island itself is not hectic.

There are only 4 rooms - 2 with AC and 2 with just a ceiling and wall fan. Each room can take upto 4 oeople with a double bed and bunk bed.

Each room includes a basic shower that is not heated and partially salt water - but to be honest that is not an issue - in fact the cold water is refreshing. Our room did not have a proper shower head on it - which again was as much a positive as a negative as it provided a strong force of water.

The room as a basic shelf and hanging space but you do not get any additional requirements such as bottled water - tea / coffee making facilities.

Breakfast is not included in the room rate and the none AC rooms are cheaper - this is what we had and it was fine.

Without any doubt a major positive is the food - the menu is wuite extensive for a hotel of this size and the quality provided is far better thzn many restaurants and hotels. Although breakfast is not included they provide a wide range of options and the price is ultra competitive.

There is a bar so they do serve alcohol and a range of soft drinks - tea and coffee - again all well priced - but if you like your beer cold let them know and they will cool it for you.

The beach is small and basic - reasonably ckean with a shallow water - sadly when we were there which was May 2023 there was a lot of seaweed. The beack include a volleyball / badminton net and they have other games in the small bar area and books you can read.

The location is off the main road so can be missed - but this adds to the tranquility of the location.

The staff are another good positive they are friendly znd helpful and even the resorts very large dog and cats are great to have around.

A good point to mention also is we have a blind cat so we have to take her with us - so they do accomodate pets but ring to ask them first.

Would i recommend the resorr? YES i would if you do bot want glitz and glamour but do want a real get away from it all experience.

Would I go again? YES without a doubt - goid value fir money, grwat get away from it location - friendly staff.

I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 - because

The beach and shoreline needs a bit of work.

The wifi is limited users - so you might have to wait to gain access.

The rooms although they are acceptable could do with a little refurbishment.

Although OK for us maybe those rooms without AC might not...

I will never forget this place way back April 2017! 😍 My fiance book 3D2N, to this place and I was very surprised and it amazed me! Very friendly owners! Feels like they are your family! Harry and his wife!👌😇 The place was very peaceful, clean and a total paradise!🏝️🌊👙 This is the dream beach you were dreaming when you were kids that you only seen on TV! Super affordable and the food was great and made with love! Actually me and my fiance are hoping to have a romantic dinner along the beach. You know, having a table there for two, then with candle lightnings and flowers. Simple but romantic. But we thought they will charge us, but NO! We are surprised on our last night there, because Harry and his wife was very nice and they made it for us for free and with a bonfire! 😍OMG! It seems they read our mind. LOL. So yeah it was a dream come true vacation and it was magical for us! About the room, very clean and it's air-conditioned. I remembered that there's a rider group, and police men drop by there just to have breakfast, lunch and snacks bec they made a very delicious burger and other dishes! We have visited this "resort" on numerous occasions, and the latest one would have to be the worst.||We were there 6 nights and EVERY night we were woken up by the resort owners dogs barking....One night another guest was too scared to enter the resort because he was terrified that he would be attacked by the dogs, so he waited outside the gate blasting his bike horn until a staff member would secure the dogs. This lasted at least 15-20 minutes.....to quote him.."the dogs were in attack mode"...Even wearing ear buds made little difference.||If you are looking for something to do after 7pm...forget it also....There is no TV in the room and the only TV in the resort is closed off to the guests after 7.30....even if it was accessible all the guests and staff would have to like the same channel.||You have to go to the waters edge to get anything close to a signal to access the internet as there is no wifi either.||The resort is isolated and there is nothing close that you can go to.||Overall, very...
