Hostel UMED Noclegi — Hotel in Łódź

Expensive place, I've picked it only because of proximity of conference rooms (I was the attendant of Juvenes ProMedicina conference). Even though receptionists were very friendly and helpful, I can't review this stay as something worth the price I payed. Rooms are nice, not too large, not to small. Unfortunately, WiFi they offer doesn't have good signal, so using computer nor phone is almost impossible if you want to surf the net. Corridors are long and it takes awhile to get to proper room from main door. It's also a bit hard to find the facility - it's located on 13th floor, just right above hospital wards (it freaked me out a little). They don't offer electric kettle nor any glasses/plates in the room. Bathrooms are too small and a bit claustrophobic, I would say. To get anywhere is kinda problematic - to get to tram stop or bus stop you gotta walk a long way + if you want to get to the city center by tram at evening, you risk being caught and beaten in the bushes (the way to tram stop is lacking light at evening and me and my friends were truly afraid to...

Simply perfect! I can say only positive things about this hostel: most of all THE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES are very nice, very professional, very helpful and great in problem solving. No matter which question/problem about the city I had, they were always able to help and find a solution. The room was VERY CLEAN with an amazing view over the city from the 13th floor. It is located in very quiet area, so one is always able to rest. They have very well-equipped kitchen, also very clean. Zanim dokonalam rezerwacj w HOSTELU UMED napisalam maila z kilkoma pytaniami. Odpowiedzi udzielano mi bardzo szybko. W hostelu przebywalam 10 dob. Byla to rekonwalescencja po dosyc powaznej operacji. Z tej okazji Managerka obiektu zaproponowala mi jeden z dwoch pokoi z lazienka z udogodnieniami dla osob niepelnosprawnych. Obsluga jest proesjonalna, bardzo mila, sympatyczna i bardzo pomocna. Pokoj byl czysty, zawsze kiedy poprosilam o sprzatanie nie bylo z tym zadnych problemow. Kuchnia swietnie wyposazona i gotowanie bylo przyjemnoscia. HOSTEL UMED ogolnie czysty i cichy co ja sobie bardzo cenie. Jesli z jakiegos powodu bede Lodzi i bede musiala sie gdzies zatrzymac, to zdecydowanie wybiore HOSTEL UMED.

Before I've made booking at HOSTEL UMED decided to send an email with some questions. They came back to me with answers very fast. I was in HOSTEL UMED for 10 days. It was recovery after severe surgery (procedure). On this occasion Manager offered me one of two rooms with disabled bathroom which was really nice! HOSTEL UMED have professional customer service. On top of that all staff were very kind to me and very helpful. Room itself was very clean. Whenever I've asked to be cleaned there was no problem with that. In general HOSTEL UMED is very clean and quiet place which was very important to me. If ever in a future I need to go to Lodz and stay overnight, definitely will choose...
