why google????? (edited because my review disappears?) 2nd visit late August 21, 1st June 21, everything was as superb as we expected. I hope there is a mild Sept/October as we are planning our 3rd visit already, if not this year then Xmas or early next in 2022.
If you want to explore south west Poland, and maybe the Czech Republic, then this is the campsite you should stay at. I'm writing this review in English as many reviews are translated and hopefully this will appeal to more Irish, Welsh, Scottish and English campers who want to explore this beautiful part of Poland, Dolny Śląsk / Dolny Ślůnsk - Lower Silesia, now it's my favourite part of Poland, the rolling hills, mountains, bendy roads, the architecture, fascinating small towns and villages... just gorgeous.
and this site is fantastic.
I can easily say it's the best campsite in Poland that we have ever stayed on, yet it's the only campsite in Poland we have stayed on. Despite living in Poland we are used to campsites in France and Germany, and are used to a very high standard, being extremely choosy about where we stay.
For our first camping trips for 2 years, covid etc., I wanted it to be good, and it was better than good.
The site is an oasis, it's calm, it's verdant, plenty of shady spots, plenty of nooks and crannies, some by the lake, some on the hill in the trees, there is an over-spill field and in a few years the trees will have grown and provide some equally good spots.
The really important bit; there are plenty of very clean showers and toilets at two locations and in one there are 'family style' units with a toilet shower and sink combined, good for showering and dressing a few kids at the same time,
...and KIDS are very important here. There is a good sized playground for kids, the site is secure surrounded by a fence and kids can wander, kids can paddle in the lake, kids can use the pedalos etc. Our girls made loads of friends with kids from Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark.
Also, there is a restaurant, not a campsite café doing snacks, but a full blown proper high class restaurant run by one of the owners Anna, this is a restaurant where people hold their wedding receptions, there is even a grand piano and a bar where locals from the nearby towns and villages come to eat and drink along side the campers.
The food is mainly traditional Polish style food, and is of a very high standard, high quality, with huge portions, and very well presented, as a vegetarian there wasn't the widest selection for me, but the salads were ginormous and, if allowed I would have eaten the unique skin-on hand-made curly chips everyday, these are proper chips, properly made and properly cooked and at a good price compared to some of the places that sell you a bag of frozen 'fries' for the same cost. And they understand that chips should be eaten with vinegar, you just have to ask.
The facilities, the site, are first class, second to none, this is a site of the highest standard you would expect in a camping and caravanning club site in the UK and Ireland.
We normally stop on sites that don't allow dogs, that doesn't seem to have been adopted yet in Poland, this site does allow dogs.
Apart from the site, the facilities, the location, the food, the ambience, there is the catalyst, the owner, a Dutchman called Mathijs
From his warm generous greeting on arrival, to advising you on camping spots, and meeting him on a daily basis whether it's cutting the grass or cleaning the toilets, Mathijs stitches the whole thing together.
He appears to have a very good intuition and puts like-minded people together, and like-minded people from all cultures and with different languages, Mathijs also speaks English, Polish and Dutch and who knows what else.
We were in the company of people from Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, people of all ages, and families with kids of all ages, they were all lovely people, you couldn't want for better neighbours when camping.
Me and my family highly recommend this campsite, and am sure...
Read moreA very pleasant few days in September (children back at school), quiet and relaxing. Food good, filling and tasty, but not haute cuisine. Amenities clean and fairly modern. Owners excellent and extremely helpful. Access currently interesting as a major road development means local detours. However don't be put off by this. The location is ideally situted between the Polish Sudety and(about 40 mins in both directions) Wroclaw. My wife fell in love with the place and doesn't think I have been positive enough in...

" No wiem slyszalem, zdarza sie" Bezczelnosc i arogancja. NIGDY WIECEJ TAM NIE...
