This is a beautiful palace with pretty decor, great room size, quiet surroundings. Goods: Great rooms. The whole place was beautifully decorated with period furniture, paintings, beautiful tiles, old-school fireplaces, marble floors, quiet corridors. Ayurvedic treatment- Beata was excellent when we planned for Ayurvedic spa- great arrangements, amazing massage, good music, professional service Food was delicious
BAD: Service- the service in this place is ABSOLUTELY appalling - I could have gone to 2 star hotel and were given better service The dinner is served until 8 pm- without any prior notice. There is no other proper restaurant in 8 km radius. The staff who serve you in the restaurant, also covers service in a pub in the property after 8 pm. So they really stand next to your table from 7:50 pm to take away your plates even if you have not finished
The bathroom had only one combined shampoo, handwash and body gel. Which also finished during our 2 nights stay- so my husband has to find someone to replace it. Given this is a 5 star property, this is basic service. There is no phone option to reception, you really need to find someone in the corridor to request it( no staff is available during the evening)
When our dessert was served, we noticed with the warm fondants, the Jack Daniel and Rosemary ice cream were missing. Apparently the kitchen ran out of stock for both flavours, but while taking the order or even delivering the order they did not care to mention. When we pointed out, they offered us 5% discount, which is less than 2 zloty, which was of course worst customer service ( specially when we spent more than 2000 zloty with them already)
During the evenings there were no staff available to even switch on the corridor or staircase light- we had to go out and do it, as it was feeling eerie without it(only 2-3 rooms were booked that night)
First day when it was 2-3 rooms were occupied, the breakfast was minimal and again the waitress was on a duty to the other part of the property from 10 am , so rushed us to finish by then. The following day when there was a bigger group for a party, then there was a buffet breakfast available. But from our point of view, we paid the same for both the days and expected similar service.
Indoor swimming pool and the only available lift were both out of order during our stay.
Overall this is a nice property which can flourish and provide great experience under good management. But current service standard...
Read moreThis was by far the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. It had the charm of the Faulty Towers without the comedy. The first room, we were given was claustrophobic with these tiny small windows. The decor is dark mismatching and uninviting. No coffee or tea facilities. The bed just marginally bigger than a single bed. We asked for a new room and after much ado and waiting, the worst reception service ever finally brought us a new key to a larger room and a larger bed. There is so much wrong with this Hotel, that I fear my complaints would make a book. No English TV channels,No batteries in the phone, bathroom unclean etc |I read other views and some are positive about the place and I wonder perhaps my wife I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s for people on a spa retreat, looking for simplicity, perhaps on a detox or fasting. Are guests aware that the Hotel would be lucky to advertise itself as a 2 star establishment. It was just so spartan, right down to the breakfast.|This place seems to change staff often, as no one including the waitress, the waiter, nor the reception knew anything about the area and apologized that they were new to the Hotel. It was morbidly depressing, but my wife and I tried to see the funny side of it. |I would advise you to avoid the place at all costs, but to see is to believe. Do not let the picture with filter deceive you. Any positives are that the Indian food from the menu is very good, and the rooms are warm. I literally cannot think of any other saving grace. It literally was the worst hotel experience in my life and yet no one treated us badly. A Bollywood version of Hogwarts without...
