Let me start step by step.

Dont use the number that comes up on Google when searching for this hotel - number does not work - use the number from the website arrived beginning of November - it can get really cold at this time of the year. Receptionist tells me that room I was assigned tends to get cold so they've left an electric heater - excuse me what? 4* hotel that cannot deal with this - complete non sense got to the room - clean, tidy, its ok but time has certainly stopped here 2 centuries ago room is cold as freezing hell! Touched the radiator - cold, ok, will manage for the night, maybe there are certain times it comes on the green light above the room door, lits all night long - I personally need Egyptian darkness to go to sleep so already wanted to shoot that thing managed to go to sleep but wrapped up like never. Im a big lad so I dont get cold easily but, everyone has their limits waking up following day, still frickin cold, absolutely freezing. This electric heater is my BFF for the stay, 100% warmest place in the room - shower with hot water being on but bathroom itself, is almost instant freeze of your vital organs - what did I do to deserve this? breakfast served from 8am - bit too late so left without the breakfast come back after meetings to the room - freezing cold, radiator cold, turning on mu BFF within 0.1 of milisecond from entering the room heating never gets put on and the green light haunts me at night but I have come up with an idea how to cover it this is my second full day of my stay here, exact carbon copy of when I have arrived however, which was a positive thing, I was asked if I would like the breakfast served sooner than 8am - yes please - so I did manage to eat before setting off went to the restaurant after work, food was good, bit pricey but sitting next to the fire, surprise surprise, was nice to my absolute schock, heating was on in my room! Hurray! But wait as I have a theory as to why! completely knackered after work, having a tea, going to my now cosy, warm room, electric heater is still my BFF regardless, I try to get some sleep as I will be travelling for almost 10 hours the following day....now listen, the theory! There is some form of a full on Xmas party or other non sense going on and as I am completely frustrated with my stay here, I write this at midnight (7 to 8th November) as the music downstairs plays like I was in a club! Because they had many people coming for the party, they had to put the heating on! Complete ignorance of other guests. IF YOU KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO HAVE THIS PARTY, LOCATE YOUR GUESTS AWAY FROM IT SO THEY CAN SLEEP! Rang the number from the website - this is how Ive learnt to not to use the number from Google and man from the security asked me: Is it loud? No mate, Im having the best bed party without attending and partying but yeah, its loud and I cant sleep. That was good 30mins ago and the music died down a bit but if you easily wake up, forget about sleeping. Get you clothing on and go party! oh by the way, there is nobody at the reception in the evening, or anytime as a matter of fact. I could not get through to anyone.

So yeah, if you are asking me will I ever return here? Hell NO! Will I recommed this hotel to friends & family? Hell NO!

Complete disappointment and apart fron the location itself and lack of availability elsewhere, I had to book this hotel but never again.

I am still to speak with reception in the morning about all everything I wrote so, if I can, I will update my review once I have spoken with them.

In the meantime, excuse me as I have a bed sleeping party to attend to need to get my duvet right so, until I review this review in the morning.

Writing this from the palace since I can’t sleep in this summer humidity at 2:00 a.m. 😅

The Bad ❌ •The green emergency light above the door is obnoxiously bright. Whoever chose this fixture should be required to sleep in these rooms—it’s honestly terrible. (See my nighttime photo taken from the parking lot for reference.) TIP: Bring a sleeping eye mask if you plan to stay here. •Bed is hard, and the linens feel rough on the skin. •Floors are incredibly loud, both in and outside the room. I get that it’s an old building, but wow! The walls are paper thin—you’ll hear every movement from rooms beside, above, and below you. It’s like this throughout the palace. •No climate control. In the summer, your room temperature = outside temperature + added humidity. Can’t even crack a window open because there’s a sign warning not to, due to bats entering the rooms. •Dead bat and piles of guano were found just outside the window of my parents’ room (Room 112). •The palace is visibly in disrepair and in need of serious maintenance. •Leaks everywhere. At 7:45 a.m., we got a knock on our door because water from our room was leaking into the room below. •Active honey bee hives are just a few feet away from guest parking. Not great for anyone with allergies. (Photo included.)

The Good ✅ •The palace architecture and grounds are stunning. Beautiful views from the bridge by the pond. I spent time walking, enjoying the scenery—and picking up trash 🗑️. •Restaurant food was delicious and fairly priced 😌 •Free breakfast with a nice variety (photo attached). •Free parking, and they have an EV charging station ⚡️ •The staff were kind and welcoming, especially to us Americans. Everyone treated us with respect 😊 Helps to be fluent in Polish without them knowing 🤫

This place has potential, but the company that owns it needs to step up—or sell it to someone who genuinely cares—before it literally burns down again… My room outlet kept cutting in and out during the night, and my phone just sat on the nightstand charging. When I woke up my type E charger (no adapter used) was hot to the touch. That’s concerning, especially with family sleeping under the same roof.

The pool is under construction, but we were aware of that when we booked.

My name is Adrian, and I stay in hundreds of hotels, motels, castles, and palaces around the world each year as a global traveler and international fixed-wing flight nurse ✈️ This was my honest experience....

Wąsowo Palace is a truly picturesque place with a fascinating history. Architectural styles blend here in unexpected ways, creating a unique atmosphere. Rooms are spread across various buildings on the estate — some quite a walk apart — which, in my view, is a plus. Strolling through the grounds is a pleasure, especially given the beautiful natural surroundings. Beyond the horses, which are clearly cherished by the hosts and add distinct charm to the property, you may spot grey herons, squirrels, and other wildlife, all easy to observe. The park itself is magnificent, with impressively old trees. The main building features a restaurant offering a well-composed menu and delicious breakfasts. A particular highlight is the male service staff — gracious, friendly, and quite professional, making culinary and beverage experiences all the more enjoyable. Rooms are clean and pleasant, though the finishing varies between buildings. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Reception service ok. Overall, a place worth visiting and recommending.

Wszystkie 3 panie z recepcji profesjonalne, miłe i uprzejmie. Szczerze mówiąc do pływania niewiele więcej by się zmieściło. UWAGA - w pokoju glośno huczący grzejnik i b mocno świecace u sufitu zielone światlo informujące o wyjściu awaryjnym :-) WI-FI działa, ale chyba głównie bliżej recepcji. Panie pokojowe zaglądają codziennie i proponują ręczniki, papier i wodę do picia. W pokoju czajnik i herbata i kawa, a w łazience - szampony i mydła. WARTO prosić o pokój z widokiem na staw! Decyzję o przyjeździe podejmijcie zatem sami :-).
