Sadly I must strongly warn people against this hotel. Avoid at all costs. The owners are dishonest, money-grabbing liars, who apparently break contracts and cancel reservations at will, when they get a better deal.||||While the rooms are nice, and the food is decent, there is simply no other way of putting it: this hotel tried to screw us over several times. Then when we protested, they tried to bully us out.||||We rented this hotel with a group of about 120 people, a long time in advance. It was supposed to be for a full week, with full exclusive use of the facilities - that is bar, dining room, spa, conference rooms etc.||||The first strike was that the hotel informed us they’ll have to cancel our reservation of the last 3 days as it was double-booked, meaning that we’d have to find 3 nights at another hotel for a 120 people, which was inconvenient to say the least. As the advance was already paid, we could not cancel altogether. However, we managed to solve this issue, and thought this was a honest mistake - we were wrong.||||Secondly, some time later, we were informed they also booked a wedding. They assured us that we would not have much disturbance from it, as it was only a small wedding. At this point we had to accept it, as we could not find another location for a 120 people short-term.||||Upon arrival we found out that the wedding party had the whole dining room, the FULL third floor and one of the conference rooms! It looked like a double or triple wedding (I saw several women in white) and they were partying and playing music until 4 AM. ||Rooms on the 1st floor were also not ready for us (as we later found out, other external guests were also still present on premises) and some of our party were forced to stay the first night at the external pavilions. While check-in was supposed to be from 16h, I did not get my room key until 21:30 after a long car trip! I was exhausted and quite annoyed. The wedding guest seemed to be just as surprised to see us, so we assume they were screwed over, too.||||We were promised full facilities the next day but “Oops”, suddenly we found out that there was a baptism booked! They conveniently “forgot” about it. Then, one of the next days, suddenly we saw a bunch of kids walk in, apparently “friends of the owners”. It just went on and on.||||We were also told the bubble bath “would be fixed” after the weekend, but we never got to use it. The pool was not even filled with water. ||||My room was mostly fine, though the balcony had visibly not been cleaned recently, and when I tried to dry some of my laundry there, I saw how thick the dust layer was. Some of my friends did not have curtains that closed, one person even had cockroaches in the room. We had to go get towels ourselves.||||For a few days it settled, an we managed to enjoy our time, but the day before leaving we discussed how they broke the contract we had with them (our contract stated exclusivity) and how we are legally allowed to subtract 20% of our price for this, as was signed by both parties. They initially accepted this, but then an hour later the daughter of the owner arrived and started to raise hell. You could see that some of the staff were uncomfortable and caught in the middle. (Most staff had been previously good to us, but obviously they answer to owners/management in the end)||||They tried to bully us into paying more, by calling the police for a “noise complaint” (we were not doing anything wrong, and the police had to leave, having nothing to charge us with). Then, when that failed, they kicked us out of the common rooms (dining room, bar) and threatened to cut the electricity in the rooms. (I WISH I was making it up, but the truth is stranger than fiction, it was absolutely insane).||||The next day, we were sent out without breakfast (which we had paid for).||||I have NEVER been treated this poorly in a hotel, ever. This is the poorest service I received since I stated traveling, even as a child with my parents. And I have traveled to many countries, and stayed at much more modest facilities. ||||The bottom line is, that they treat guests like crap. In my book, everything else is forgivable, but not that. Looking at recent reviews, they are used to making promises, then canceling/changing plans last minute. It’s a pity, because the hotel has potential in terms of rooms and facilities, but the people who run are terrible. I understand Covid has been hard on the service industry, but conning your guests is really not the way to go.||||Do not give these people your money, they do...
Read moreENG: Slept one night before the Kilce Fair. We arrived around 9pm on Wednesday night and luckily the restaurant was working so we were able to arrive for dinner. Dishes are ala carte. The first problem is that no one speaks English at the hotel, so all communication was difficult (we used a translator and pointing fingers). For dinner, I ate a fried steak topped with smoked cheese and baked mushrooms with roasted potatoes (more fried because it was wrapped in some spices) with mixed salad. Everything was fresh and very fine (except I'm not used to so much spicy food - some strong spice in the pan and sprinkled on potatoes). My colleague ate a tartar steak and was very pleased. The only real complaint is the hateful is staff who don't speak English. The hotel and rooms themselves are clean and tidy. Some things in the rooms are a little shabby (for example, in room 113, the mattress on the bed is really bad, the toilet seat is very loose, the faucet on the sink also and the shower door fell out of the rails - I fixed them so they didn't drop out completly). Everything else was ok and these four things didn't diminish my experience too much. Breakfast is buffet style. The choice of dishes and beverages is decent (scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, slices, salads, sauces, hot dogs, traditional dishes, etc.). Tablecloths were dirty, although it was not crowded, poor fruit choices (oranges, apples and canned pineapple) and stale water although flavored with lemon. The brightest point of the breakfast was donut with the jam with most vivid color ever . All in all OK. HR: Spavali jednu noć prije sajma u Kilceu.
Read moreHotel Ameliówka is by far the worst hotel experience I've had in my life. Their level of unprofessionalism, cynicism, greed and pettiness is unprecedented. The rooms were dirty (uncleaned), the food was mostly poor, the staff was rude, and the respect for the contractual obligations - nonexistent.||||After the hotel signed the contract, they informed us they cannot host us for the entire event, which forced us to look for another venue at the last minute, for partial stay.||||We've arrived on Saturday morning, and some of the agreed rooms weren't ready for us until Sunday (!) evening, including some of the guest rooms. The hotel decided to host a few other events in the time it was reserved for us! This meant that for the first night, significant part of our group had to sleep in bungalows, with disgusting conditions. That was completely against what was agreed. Also later during our stay, we've seen other guests at our rented space.||||When confronted the hotel's owner with these breaches, she went full crazy on us, refusing access to common rooms, demanding us to leave our rooms at 8am, threatening to cut off the electricity and taking our personal belongings as hostages, refusing access to most of our stuff until the morning. If I hadn't seen that, I wouldn't believe this would be possible. In the morning last day we were refused not only the (paid) breakfast, but also coffee was taken from us, and even all the cups, out of spite.||||In summary, the hotel didn't care about their agreement, they decided to breach the contract multiple times, most of the times with no upfront communication, then tried to refuse to pay the contractual obligations, and when confronted with that, showed unprecedented pettiness. If you are lucky, you might have an okay stay, but most of the times, the hotel's greed with double-booking their rooms, will get in a way.||||And not to mention other "regular" inconveniences: jacuzzi broken, garden pool dirty and filled only with some rain (not to use), windows not covered at night. I recommend everybody to stay away...
