We had read the reviews of the hotel on here and elsewhere online before we traveled. We were a little apprehensive as some of the reports detailed dirty dated rooms. I am happy to report our room was neither of those things. We paid the higher rate for the Lake view rooms. This gives you a wonderful vista of the lake and boats. Another plus is the AIR CONDITIONING, which you will need in July and August. The road side rooms do not have air conditioning and are much smaller. the temp in those rooms on a hot day is stifling. The rooms are cleaned several times during the week but this is limited to towel change and bin emptying. Bed is not made. This is popular with weddings on the weekend. (restaurant is closed off to non-wedding guests for duration of wedding), however you can still get service out on the terrace.||||Positives:||- Location - on the shores of a very large reservoir.||- Steak on the menu is lovely||- Alcohol/Beer etc is cheap||- Waitresses in the restaurant are lovely (not much English, but enough to understand each us.) They work from morning til night so leave a tip!||- Lovely waterside terrace to sit out on while eating.||- Payment - was given the option of paying in zloti or euro when leaving. very handy.||- Nice busier atmosphere at the weekends (very very quiet mid week)||||Negatives:||- Location: while in a nice area, the closest town is 20 mins away by car. The closest shop (tiny) is about 15 mins walk in the middle of a housing complex :). You will need to hire a car if you don't wish to be stuck at the hotel. There are regular buses at a bus stop a 5 min walk from the hotel, but we didn't brave those considering we spoke no Polish!||- Menu : for me there was only 2 things I would eat off the menu. The menu does not change for lunch and dinner and was the same for the whole week. There was an occasion or 2 where my partner ate the same thing for lunch and then dinner. No sandwiches etc on offer for lunch.||- Breakfast : breakfast is laid out buffet style for 1 hour every morning (longer at weekends i think). Unfortunately 90% of the food is left out uncovered. This meant on more than one morning being confronted with flies crawling over everything that was out. This is a major hygiene issue. Please cover everything up!||- Air-conditioning - While brilliant and a definite must, the unit is placed over the bed. it then starts to drip water onto your head... might be best to move the bed to the other side of the room to avoid this.||-Room Cleanliness : room is fine with the exception of the balcony. This was covered in dead mosquitoes and it wasn't cleaned once during the week we were there. Not nice to sit out on. Only 3 nozzles on the Jacuzzi bath worked....so less of a Jacuzzi and more of a fizz :)||- Guest information - Most hotels I have stayed in have a little guest welcome package with information on restaurant times, taxi numbers, closest doctor etc... This hotel had nothing. Might be an idea!||- On the website, the hotel mentions it's 'private beach' - this is more of a strip of sand and is certainly not private. it gets quite crowded...
Read moreI have to say it is really very very nice hotel for those who are looking for a private, small property. It is a plus that there are also rooms with a private jacuzzi- it was very useful :-). I do like the view - it is fantastic to observe "Zalew Zegrzyński" just being in the bed. ||||Breakfast rather poor but still it can be ok. Unfortunately I decided to check out when I saw one guy doing strange things .... well I was just having a breakfast when one man came and started to eat everything from the buffet ( for the guests) just using his hands ( without cutlery and plates), then he went to the kitchen ( I don't want to know what he was eating there)... then he went to the reception desk and just took the towel and started to dry his hair for a long time just above the front desk.... despite the fact that we- guests- were staying there just near the desk ... it was disgusting... sorry... I have changed the hotel, I couldn't eat there anymore... ||||Also there is one more minus - the rooms are quite dirty ( not cleaned enough). ||There is nothing to do when...
