The hotel is built into the rock face and the remains of the old castle but inside it has a clean and modern feel to it. This is my second stay at the hotel on business.||||The hotel is accessed via a windy not very well maintained road and has a reasonable sized car park in front. Unfortunately there are no markings showing the bays so the space is not well utilised.||||The reception area is modern and also has a bar. For me check in was easy and fast. The room I was allocated was accessed by a walk past the 25m pool with jacuzzi then up an elevator, past the spa and restaurant and then up 2 flights of stairs. I could find an elevator the last part (but I didn’t look hard) so if you have mobility issues it may be an issue.||||The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and small balcony. There is a decent work area. There were 2 bottles of complimentary water with tea and coffee making facilities. There is a mini bar but it was locked and couldn’t be bothered to ask to get it unlocked as I was happy with water.||||The bed was comfortable but the quilt was smaller than the bed, ok for 1 person but I suspect not for 2. Unusually there was a pillar at the bottom of the bottom which gave a feeling of a very small room when in bed and if you get up in the middle of the night it is something of an obstacle. There is a small seating area with 2 chairs and a small table in between. For me the chairs were typical of design over comfort.||||The en suite bathroom was clean and modern with a shower above the bath. There were 2 issues with this. First the shower screen does extend far enough from the wall so the floor gets very wet. Second the hose on the shower is not long enough so if you raise the shower to a reasonable height to stand under (I am 1.8m tall) then the hose kinks and the water is cut off.||||There is a restaurant on site which serves some good food but is expensive by Polish standards. I had the goats cheese with cranberries to start which nice but missed some bread, steak with sweet potato fries for main course which was very nice but a few more fries and less cherry tomatoes please. For dessert I had creme brûlée which was also good. The only issue is that because of its location and style the hotel does attract corporate groups. On my last stay I was in the corporate group, on this occasion I suffered the 20+ group who gradually got louder as the evening progressed. There is another room so if you see a table set for a group perhaps ask to go there, or the hotel could anticipate and put the large group in there.||||Breakfast was ok, reasonable selection of hot and cold but for the overall price, and given the quality of the restaurant, I would have expected more.||||Check out was fast and efficient but they did take the money for the stay a couple of days before my stay which I didn’t notice on my card (possibly the rate I booked through an online hotel booking service ) and didn’t notice until after I had left that my invoice didn’t detail the room rate. If you are on business just check before you leave.||||Overall I enjoyed my short stay and would probably return when next...
Read moreRead moreWe spent a long weekend ( friday-sunday ) at this facility.||Morning yoga in a room is possible but hotel has a really large space, endless garden so you can train under a tree looking at the valley beneath the hill you are at.||Breakfast is good and the service at the hotel smiling and very helpful. Location is great for both people who likes to stay and just relax, read book or just do nothing, and for those who likes to stay active.||You can choose to walk or rent a good bike from a hotel. We decided to walk around and did 9 km through the local woods and another day 6 km through the castle to another hill. The reception has prnted maps and can recomend you the routes.||We enjoyed local SPA, tried relaxing message and my wife a few other things, of course :)||We tested hammocks, reading books in the tree shadow, tired with sun, tested local fresh juice from the reception bar. They bring things to your spot, smiling.||The swimming pool is large enough, with calm water.||The terrace side to the sminning pool could have more sunlounges ( there we only 3!) but we managed to secure 2 of them, ordered white cold wine and the waiter added a bucket of ice so we could grab a bit of sun cooling down with the glass in hands.||Evening time is for a good dinner, so we tried local cousines. Food was either good or very good. We recomend steak and potatos straight from fire. Nice terrace, white wine, good meal, smiling helpful waitress and the receipe for a nice evening is there.||Hotel is equipped with own water from a 100 meter well, free of charge at the reception bar, served in glass bottles. ||Room was quite large, comfy with a huge glass window from the floor to ceiling, trees outside so good green feeling. ||Enough parking space, good be a bit more in the shadow as our black car after 3 days in full sun was close to Hotel Sauna :)||Lastly we tested Sauna, not big, but enough space for a few people and we landed there alone, tried both steam and dry sauna, rested on lounges.||We can remoned the spot for people who search for nice architecture, with a good view, huge garden, design around -- the whole object is built into the rocky top of the hill which makes it unique. ||It was fun, chill time. We feel relaxed, smiling as Poziom 511's staff.||Was there anything we missed - not really, maybe I could not find the safe box to hide my...
The complex is nice - modern decor, clean, spacious bedrooms, very nice swimming pool and saunas, and small but lovely restaurant and bar with attached terrace. Lovely location too - a great long weekend destination. |Food was certainly the main highlight of our stay at Poziom 511. On our arrival, we had an early dinner and shared a few different starters and mains between the two of us - every single dish was super tasty and way above what you’d expect from a hotel restaurant. Breakfast, included in the stay price, was also lovely - many options to choose from, everything very fresh. |All staff very friendly, helpful and professional at all times. |Two things were disappointing during our stay. Our Spa treatments weren’t cheap but were average at best. We booked full body relaxing massages plus face massages and both of us felt that they were mediocre and not worth the prices charged. The massage felt more like an hour body lotion application rather than a massage that leaves you feeling relaxed but rejuvenated. The same for our face massage. |And the surprising charge at the very end of our stay - when settling our bill, we were told that not only we have to pay for parking but we only have 15mins to leave from the moment we pay. It’s not about the money but principle - having stay at the hotel, ordering extra spa treatments and additional meals (our final bill was about 1,500zl for two for one night stay so not cheap at all) I found the policy of charging guests for parking rather tacky and cheap. Certainly not something one would encounter in a similar level hotel elsewhere in Europe. Left a bad aftertaste to what was overall...
