In a picturesque region full of so many accomodation choices - Be a Seidorf Hotel!
It would be easy for me to write why this Hotel deserves all 5 of the stars- and there are many reasons, but if you are like me, you probably prefer to focus on the less positive reviews to check if there any negatives mentioned that may decide if you should choose this Hotel or not.
So first with things that could be improved. These are my observations and minor critiques during my 2 nights stay (wife and 6 month child) that should not detract from a first class luxury Hotel experience:
1)For a 5 star Hotel, I would expect housekeeping to clean the room better. A pile of our clothes we found under the bedsheets even after the bed was "made".
2)I was disappointed with the steak I ordered, which although cooked to perfection, was served less than lukewarm. For a fine dining experience each french fry chip should be served uniform in size, not the broken brown bits that are left over in the deep fat fryer. Only the delicious whiskey sauce saved me further disappointment.
3)Waitress on our first evening was surly and not very welcoming, it was not a busy evening in the restaurant.
4)Two small milk pods for the in-room tea and coffee facilities is never enough.
And thats it! Nothing else negative to say. What we as guests WILL remember about our stay and the Seidorf Hotel experience is the little personal touches, and little acts of kindness when the Hotel and the staff went beyond our expectations. The surprise bottle of Prosecco, and tasty treats (my wifes birthday) which we didn't expect upon arriving in the room. The Seidorf plush toy for our baby, a tiny bathrobe for her was very thoughtful. (Thank you Tatiana in Reception).
The Hotel has beautiful unrivalled views, our room was modern with elegant and tasteful furniture, the bedding very comfortable, bathroom has all the necessary essentials and more, the swimming pool is super warm, the Spa treatment was thoroughly enjoyed by my wife, the restaurant menu shows off the creativity and culinary skills of the kitchen, and breakfast has a rich variety of choices for even a picky eater like myself. All in all, it was a wonderful and memorable experience.
Still undecided?...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Seidorf Hotel with our family, and while the experience had some great moments, it was ultimately very mixed due to a serious issue.
The Positives: • The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms and an elegant atmosphere. • The restaurant serves delicious food, and we genuinely enjoyed our meals—at least at first. • The pool is large, and the spa is lovely—a truly relaxing space. • The staff are friendly and kind.
The Major Negative – Food Poisoning & Lack of Care
On our second dinner at the hotel, I got food poisoning. Out of the three of us, I was the only one who ate the goat cheese salad, and by night, I was seriously sick.
When my husband went to the reception looking for basic medication or even apple cider vinegar, they had nothing—no remedies, no first-aid solutions, and no idea what to do.
The next morning, I expected some sort of concern from the hotel. But the kitchen wasn’t even informed about what happened. I had to tell the waitress myself. She was the only person who showed any real concern, but management never followed up, never apologized, and never even acknowledged it.
No compensation, no check-in from the staff, nothing. For a 5-star hotel, this level of indifference was a big surprise. It completely ruined the rest of our vacation.
Other Negatives: • Wi-Fi is painfully slow—not what you’d expect from a luxury hotel. • There’s little to no entertainment...
Read moreWe had booked our stay at Apartamenty Seidorf. However, there is an option to use the breakfast and SPA offer of the hotel (Seidorf Mountain Resort), which we would like to evaluate here. In advance, we had asked the cost of breakfast and confirmed with 90 PLN per person / day. On site, we were then charged 120 PLN per person / day. Furthermore, there was a selection of cold and hot dishes on Saturday & Sunday. During the week, however, no more - possibly too few guests ?! For the cost of 120 PLN and a 5 star hotel, you can expect the selection option but permanently, which we had on Saturday & Sunday. Furthermore, we had booked 3 SPA treatments in advance, all of which were not noted in the system - the cost had also tried to put up from 1,600 PLN to 2,000 PLN. All in all, we will not book here again. Too bad. Unfortunately, the hotel did not respond to my complaint message...
