Stayed here for a couple of days. A little challenging finding the place but when you do, you find a real gem. An old 19 th century mansion, taken over by the communist in the 20th century then extensively modernised in the 21st century by its new owner. Beautiful area and surrounds. The lady at reception, although speaks no English, is very hard working and very courteous and does everything to ensure your stay is comfortable. The rooms are very basic and sparse and the mattress we had needs to be changed as the springs are starting to come through. The breakfast again was basic but typical 3star. The spa was good although a little small. Overall the place needs lots of love and attention, the gardens need attention and should not be forgotten particularly the areas leading to the lakes and romantic bridges, which we couldn't even get to as it was so overgrown. With a more effort this place...

The steps to the front of the hotel had cracked and peeled off and were just left there....a huge health and...

The building does need some TLC, but I will not solely blame management. Guests could do their part by not vandalizing the facilities or decor. |This place is peaceful and I find a great place to withdraw to for a few days to just relax. It is not a chateau but it is an elegant setting reminiscent of a country home. Too bad we know nothing about the history of...
