This hotel has some issues that impacted my stay. Between 9 PM and midnight, there was loud banging that caused my room to shake, and this wasn’t the first time it had happened. When I contacted reception, they informed me that this had occurred a few times before and kindly offered to move me to a different room. The rooms themselves are quite dated, with dusty, dirty carpets, and I even found some leftover items behind the radiator. There’s also a noticeable odor in the hallways. Unfortunately, there's no air conditioning or kettle for making tea. The owner is in the process of renovating, but it seems the work is being done in the late afternoon and evening, which might explain the noise. Because the room didn’t have air conditioning, I had to leave the window open most of the time, even during the night. Since the hotel is close to the road, my sleep was far from restful, constantly disturbed by loud car exhausts or traffic itself. I feel the hotel may not fully meet its star rating. The breakfast could use some improvement, and the staff, including the receptionists, appeared somewhat unhappy. The location is excellent, which is a...
Read moreStayed here end of January on Business.||||The hotel was very easy to find and parking was plentiful, close to a Petrol Station and Supermarket too (always good if you get hungry after the restaurant is closed)||||Unusually for a hotel it had a 10 pin bowling alley attached (at extra cost)||It also had a Swimming Pool (at extra cost), Well equipped Gym (Free I think?)and Billiard Table (at extra cost)||||The receptionist on duty when I arrived was very polite and helpful, she spoke good English and had a great sense of humor.||||I went to the restaurant/bar with a colleague, and we had to wait a long time to get the waiters attention (it was not busy though)||||Once we did finally get his attention, he took our order with a touch of sarcasm and retreated back behind the bar area.||||When the food did arrive, is was absolutely fantastic and the Deep Fried Ice Cream for desert was most unusual (but delicious!) We had 2 Beers, 2 Main meals, 2 deserts, 2 Lattes and all for less than you would pay for a Main meal in the UK!||||If I stay in this area again I would choose to stay here (and pack my...
Read moreThe worst Wi-Fi ever. I don’t understand how a hotel has terrible Wi-Fi it’s ridiculous. The rooms are older than the pictures online look. The beds are comfy though, granted they are only twin sized beds. Some rooms have a decent sized TV, while most have a tiny screen. The bathrooms are older and small, and the showers are super small and rusty. The handle is right in the middle of the wall and with it already being tiny, it causes you to almost always bump it to super hot or super cold. The bowling alley is pretty nice, but the lanes and bowling balls are super dry and just need to be waxed really well. The staff is really nice and the restaurant and bar is really good with a wide variety. Overall it wasn’t terrible but could use some work and especially with the Wi-Fi, while trying to do work it crashed on me at least once or twice almost...
