We stayed in Room 214 (apartment style). The room consists of two separate rooms, which is convenient, but there’s one major drawback: the TV is located only in the bedroom. When you’re spending time in the living room, especially in the evening, you naturally want to watch something — and this setup is quite inconvenient.
The room is equipped with a kettle, bathrobes, and a fridge, which is a nice touch. There’s also a large and convenient parking area. However, that’s where the positives unfortunately end.
Cleanliness and Comfort
The room was very cold, and the temperature didn’t improve over the days. We only had our towels changed on the fifth night, which is far from ideal. Dirty glasses were never removed, no water was restocked, and when the shower gel ran out, it was never replaced.
Additionally: – The toilet flush button was broken, – Upon check-in, there were soap stains on the bathroom sink, – The bathroom fan was extremely loud, creating constant noise, – After 8 PM, the lights in the hotel lobby were turned off, making it hard to see where to go, – And in the same lobby, there was a strong, unpleasant smell of food, which made the atmosphere rather uncomfortable.
Restaurant Experience
During our stay, we also dined at the hotel’s restaurant. We ordered: tartare, shrimp, Caesar salad, steak, and pork tenderloin (polędwiczka).
On the positive side: – The shrimp were excellent, – The tartare was fresh and tender, – The Caesar salad tasted good, but raised some questions — why was there fried bacon in it, and why were the chicken pieces cut so large? This made the dish awkward to eat.
However, the steak was a disappointment: – It was extremely spicy, – Undercooked, – The meat itself was of uneven thickness, which led to an uneven cook, – The French fries were placed directly under the steak, and as the steak’s juices soaked in, the fries became soggy — only the shape and name of the fries remained.
The polędwiczka (pork tenderloin) felt like it was just boiled, with little to no flavor, though it was beautifully plated. The mashed potatoes, on the other hand, were surprisingly flavorful and unique.
One of the most awkward moments came when a new beer was poured into a previously used, dirty glass — which was quite off-putting and left a negative impression on the service.
Final Thoughts
This hotel has potential, but the lack of service, cleanliness, and attention to detail are major issues. The room was cold, poorly maintained, and cleaning was inconsistent. The restaurant offers visually appealing dishes, but the quality and service are inconsistent and unreliable.
Overall, our stay was more negative than positive, and unfortunately, I cannot...
Read moreAn okay hotel. If I’m not mistaken, it’s a 3 star hotel and it is a 3 or 3+ star experience. The staff was friendly and willing to help, but there’s honestly only one person at the reception and that person is not always available. Big plus is a swimming pool, a gym and sauna (which on the other hand may not be turned on). In this price, it’s really nice. Location for me was excellent, but if one goes there for sightseeing, it maybe not be too close to the city center. Beware of wedding parties - guests may be loud and drunk and staff can be partially successful in managing situation.Room was big - very big - clean and nice. Although old design,...
Read moreThe bed was very old and squeaked. I woke up all night to the sound of squeaking as I shifted. Breakfast was very poor. There was no fruit juice. The eggs were placed side by side with pork sausage, and a piece of sausage fell into the omelet. I couldn't eat it because I'm Muslim. I asked the staff to make me an omelet, but they said the kitchen was closed. This hotel needs to consider the concerns of Muslim and Jewish customers who don't eat pork. The Ukrainian employee at the front desk was very friendly and cheerful. That's why I'm giving it...
