Stay was from 06/08 to 08/08. Initial impressions and service were very good. Room was spacious and clean. Staff friendly and polite. My partner had emailed the hotel earlier to inform about my special dietary needs - I am lactose and gluten intolerant. However, when we went for supper the first night, there was nothing I could eat. When I informed the staff, they did not know about it. The manager said we had to inform the hotel earlier, to which my partner informed him that she had. He then suggested that the chef prepare a meal for me, chicken or fish, to which I chose fish. He also informed me that the the puree of white vegetable soup was safe for me to eat. After the meal I experienced severe abdominal pain and spent the next hour and a half in the bathroom. A most uncomfortable and painful time. The following morning we informed the restaurant manager about the previous nights' meal and results. She informed which things I was able to eat and instructed the omelette chef to clean the pan before making an omelette for me. Unfortunately, I had exactly the same results as the previous evening's meal, spending another hour in the bathroom with terrible abdominal pain. The facilities are good, and I managed to relax in the pool and Jacuzzi, and my partner got an interesting book from your library. I can say that I was very apprehensive when it came to the supper that night. Again, there was nothing from the buffet that I was able to eat. We informed the restaurant manager, and she suggested I order from the menu. After perusing the menu I settled on the duck with boiled vegetables. I was a bit disappointed when the manager tried to persuade me to choose the fish (Sandacz, which I had had the night before) or chicken breast, and I hope it was not because they were cheaper and easier to prepare. That meal was prepared very well and not only did I enjoy it, but also there were no negative effects. The breakfast the following morning was also acceptable for my body as I stayed away from any cooked or prepared items. I have to mention that my partner said nearly all the dishes were not hot, and a few actually cool, for both suppers and breakfasts. I had noticed there were no burners or heaters under the food holders in the restaurant, as there were the previous year, so possibly that could be the reason. The extra attractions, such as water aerobics and yoga, were excellent ideas for guests and I thoroughly enjoyed the yoga. On a final note, we can say that the stay this time was not enjoyable as the year before. We were so impressed last year, that we had decided to return this summer to our "Special Hotel". Sadly, we noted the standard of meals and rooms have dropped (in our room the wardrobe door was badly damaged, with only a few nails keeping a part of the door attached), which can be put down to the immense competition from the hotel industry and the huge choice of hotels available these days. We are doubtful about returning to your hotel in the future as there other hotels worth considering. This is a pity as we think Hotel Krasicki has tremendous potential and atmosphere! After an amazing first stay, the second stay has soured our opinion. We hope this feedback helps you to improve any shortfalls and customer care. Thank...
Read moreThe first two days were really great. After all, the hotel is beautiful, not doubt about that. And the food at the restaurant was amazing. Plus, the museum was beyond amazing, and the pool was great too. We had the Junior Suite for a room, it too was almost perfect. Thus, the hotel definitely deserves four stars. But for a fifth star, it needs to improve several things. Therefore, as I said, the first two days were really great, but then we started to observe certain things. For example, we tried out the massage, but unfortunately, we were not asked whether we wanted a male or a female massage therapist. The massage was really good, and professional. Nevertheless, they should have asked about whether each of us wanted a male or a female massage therapist, as a courtesy to the client. In the restaurant, one waitress was amazing. She was polite, she asked if we liked the food, and you could feel that she cared about the people dining there. On the third day, we got a waitress that did the opposite. Me and my family, we observe these things, and we are always warm and kind, and we like when people are the same way towards us. This new waitress was not. Later that day, in the bar, the male waiter who prepared drinks, was also great. You could see that he was stressed, and had a lot to do, but nevertheless, he was kind and did all the work without complain. The same new waitress together with a yet another new waitress just stood there, doing nothing. Drying some glasses, at one point, but otherwise doing nothing to help out the male waitress. Thus, the female waitress in the restaurant and the male waitress in the bar were amazing. The other two female waitresses should be fired. Their lack of knowledge and skill about how to make this hotel experience amazing is why this hotel does not have five stars, and why it might drop to three stars in the future. Thus, the hotel rooms and the food was amazing, but some of the employees need to learn how to be around normal clients who are kind to them and expect the same courtesy in return, and how to work as a team because standing around doing nothing while one person does all the work does not look good for a professional hotel. Last but not least, we had 25-30 degrees Celsius in the hotel, all the while the room, as amazing as they were, did not have air conditioning. We got air fans, and they worked ok, but still. For a fifth star, air conditioning...
Read moreDisappointing customer service, dirty room!
We were looking forward to visit this hotel based on the great location and unique architecture. Sadly the poor customer service recieved at reception and restaurant has spoiled our stay. Our room was the furthest away from reception and when we arrived we both had large suitcase each as well as a few pieces of smaller luggage. It was early Sunday evening and the gentleman checking us in didn't offer to help with our luggage. It would have been great if he at least advised us to leave the big suitcases at reception and drop the smaller bags at the room first then return for the large suitcases. We have really struggled as there was a lot of steps on the way to our room. Shortly after arriving I wanted to take a shower only to discover the fixed shower had (rainfall type) completely broken. That made me look at other things closely and I've noticed the tiles in the shower weren't clean, they were yellow stains. The area around the basin was also dirty. The bathroom was clearly cleaned 'in a hurry' without paying attention to detail. The bed frame was dusty and the floor under the bed wasn't cleaned in a while. The Internet connection was poor, we could only get a good signal when standing next to the apartment door. On discovery of all the faults I've emailed the hotel but had no response or apology. I've checked the next morning with reception and they confirmed my email was received and they would act on it. On our return in the late afternoon we found the shower head got changed and most of the areas mentioned were cleaned. A router was installed to improve the Internet connection. We found a bottle of wine on the table I assume it was to make up for all the issues but yet again there was no reply to my email to apologise for the unacceptable state of the room on our arrival. We had experience very poor customer service from the team at the restaurant. The buffet food was OK but some of the English dish descriptions were incorrect. At check out I've told the receptionist about our disappointment but yet again I've never recieved any comms from the hotel. I've stayed there at over a month. I love the location and the view from our room was amazing but I would not stay at this...
