You get to stay in a fort! That sentence alone should inform whether or not this is for you. If you are after luxury and pampering, look elsewhere. But if you have a sense of adventure or interest in history, then this will be right up your alley. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable, but the walls are a little thin and we heard a lot of noise from a party that was taking place that evening. There is a shared kitchen for use but it was a bit of a walk from our room just to boil a kettle. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking on site and great prices for our stay, apart from the breakfast which seemed a little overpriced by comparison, plentiful but limited choice. All the staff are helpful and enjoy the Fort they give you a map and you can wonder around in your own time. six people , three rooms for aroun £15 each per night a bargain. The only minus is its a bit out of town but there are...

At the time when I was there restaurant was closed but there is a kitchen available so you could survive with your food. The staff was very friendly...
