My daughters joked that they thought the place was haunted. We arrived around 10 PM. The windows were all dark and the parking lot was deserted. The front stairs were dark, unlit. The receptionist sitting on the stairs outside appeared like a shadow, and he came in behind me when I was at the front desk. The place looked like it could be very interesting, but again, the lobby was all dark. No restaurant or bar was open. Felt sort of creepy. ||Then, the receptionist informed me that we did not have a reservation - apparently our confirmed reservation via Booking.com never showed up. He made a call to someone and after several minutes we finished checking in. The receptionist then wanted to charge me for parking. When I frowned, he withdrew the request. The whole check-in experience was bizarre. The receptionist acted like we were putting him out just for showing up - as if he had other guests begging for rooms. But the place was completely empty.||Walking to our room was weird. All the doors to the hotel rooms were open - the rooms were dark. We got a room on Floor 1 that had two twin beds and a double bed. Bed linens were nice and clean. Ample clean towels. Very nice and clean bathroom - except for the excessive amount of hairs in the shower. It was a very warm and humid night - but no air conditioning in the room. The windows were cracked open slightly. We tried to open them further but noticed there were no screens and there were already mosquitos in the room. There was a small refrigerator in the room, but it did not work. ||The idea behind the place seems interesting. The architecture resembles the best of soviet-era brutalist modern. The old MIG jet airplane near the parking lot, and what appeared to be a '60s-era air raid shelter were definitely cool, as were the photos, models, and displays inside the hotel, i.e.: a rocket engine, space suit, scale models of aircraft and rockets, etc. - but all located in darkened hallways and a dimly lit reception area. ||With some slight improvements, such as screens on the windows, air conditioned rooms, a working room refrigerator and maybe a microwave, adequate lighting, especially in the reception area and entranceway, and maybe an open restaurant or bar, this could be a very cool and interesting destination stay. But without these improvements - seeing as how a new hotel is already under construction at the Wroclaw airport - sadly, the Hotel Kosmonauty may not have much...
Read moreThis hotel really one you will remember for long time especially if you are aviation enthusiast. Near main entrance you will find MiG21 and futher Iskra which is made as giant weathercock. Sufficiently big parking, even groops traveling by bus will find place to park. Even petrol gas station right here There is lake near. Children playgrounds for smallest and even F16 simulator for biger ones the fathers inclusively 😁😁 Well this place really good to spent summer week or two for recreation. However it's budget hotel which offers good price also for thouse who is on the buisnes trip. Wroclav airport 5/7 minutes frin hotel or even less. Things i didint like internet dependent on you room location (rooters in 102, 110, 203 naturally good signal in thouse for sure) Room locks are with sound signalings which working strange and in every room diferently or not working. Rooms are locking and opening with metal key but for electricity in the room you also need card. Shower is simple but still runs away. Also loaud wentilators. However you have refrigerator in the room which is nice for cheap hotel in summer time. I liked this hotel because of it's aviation thematics which makes it exceptional and I was ready to forget some small but numerous drawbacks inside room. Amazing drawings in...
Read moreFirst of all, they really stick to the space/flight theme and it's lovely. There are even tiny lights on the bathroom ceiling to imitate a night sky! Fiance was in awe, if this place wasn't completely out of the way for anything other than the airport, he was ready to organise our wedding there.||||We needed a hotel close to the airport as our flight was early in the morning, and this hotel was a great choice! When we requested a taxi at 4 am, the receptionist offered that the night porter can give us a ride for 20zl, which was cheaper than a taxi would have been (and doesn't run the risk of the cab not turning up, as has happened to us in Wroclaw before). The minibus leaves every half hour, but I felt like it was negotiable if need be. We got to the airport with no trouble whatsoever.||||The room was small, but clean and all you needed for one night - bed was comfy, and the bathroom had all amenities including a hair dryer with decent power. The shower had a really nice pressure, but could stand to run a little hotter for my taste. I feel like some tea/coffee facilities in the room would...
