Casa de Campo Franco da Serra — Hotel in Angra do Heroísmo

We felt truly welcome and well taken care of at Casa Franco da Serra. This family-run hotel has a warm, homely vibe that makes you feel right at home. The owner and her son were incredibly kind and always happy to help with anything we needed. We were even invited to a small family gathering over the weekend, and everyone was so warm and friendly! It was such a lovely way to experience real Portuguese hospitality on our first trip to Portugal.

The hotel is a bit outside the town center, so having a car is definitely handy. That said, we managed just fine by taking the bus (there’s a stop right in front of the house) and grabbing a taxi back without any problems. (look for Taxi 25 Angra do Heroismo)

Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Terceira who’s looking for peace, nature, and some quiet time away...

We loved our stay. The rooms were very tasteful, ample, clean and nice. The entire house, which only has 6 rooms, and garden were very homely and tasteful, and we were very comfortable during our stay. And everyone working there was welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The guesthouse is located in the border of the village, just bellow some stunning hills. With views to the characteristic volcanic rock walls and the vibrant nature that the island has. Our only neighbours, some cows. You will need a car tho, but that's true of the whole island in general.

A renovated building, with rich history, located not far from Angra. Beautiful space in the country with farms surrounding the property. Quiet yet elegant- has a pool with plenty of area to relax. The rooms are modern and relatively spacious. The best part of the stay was meeting and chatting with the owners- this is a family-run property, and you have access to a common-area.
