Hotel João Padeiro — Hotel in Aveiro

The hotel is newly renovated, but they have used part of the old furniture.||The staff are very nice but has not been trained at all. They have not a clue how to run an hotel.||The rooms are small, the madrass was horrible, and the lights are just terrible, cold white and not enough.||The bathroom was new and good.||The hotel is situated at the side of heavily traffic road and even in the back rooms you can hear the traffic noise. In the morning you can hear the staff preparing the breakfast and when they connect the exaust fan, it is time to go out of bed.||In the village there is a pulp factory and if the wind is blowing from that direction, the smell is terrible.||The food at the restaurant is quite good and at a reasonable price, but once again the staff has not been trained for the task.||Nearby there are equally good or better restaurants and in Aveiro there are much better hotels.||Please pay attention when you make your reservation, because if you have to leave the hotel earlier than planned they will charge you for all the nights you...

We've staid at Joao Padeiro for a single night during a weekend trip to the region. We were looking for a budget hotel and this one came as one of the top choices in booking.||The hotel itself is located close to some industrial facilities outside Aveiro. When wind turns the wrong direction, the air in the street can be quite smelly and we can vouch that...||To the hotel itself. Staff at the reception were helpful both during check in and check out.||Rooms have been refurbished, so flat screen and AC are available. the bathroom was also good sized and looked fairly recent. Only complaint is that the carpet seemed to be dirty and that the shower head wasn't functioning properly.||Breakfast quality is average at best. Small choice and poor quality comparing with other 3-star hotels we've staid...

PÉSSIMA EXPERIÊNCIA E ABSOLUTO DESCASO! FUJAM DESTE HOTEL! A minha estadia no Hotel João Padeiro, em Cacia (que não é Aveiro, é na zona industrial!), foi um pesadelo e um desrespeito total. Viajei em comitiva de 5 pessoas e os problemas foram constantes e graves.

ABANDONO NO CHECK-IN: Chegamos às 23:20h e o hotel estava fechado, sem NENHUM funcionário na recepção. Ficamos quase 1 hora na rua, exaustos de viagem. O telefone na porta não atendia e só entramos porque um outro hóspede chegou. Uma falta de segurança e atendimento inaceitável!

O HÓSPEDE QUE DORMIU NO CHÃO (3 DIAS!): Houve um erro inicial no tipo de quarto (casal para mim e um amigo), mas o hotel negou-se a resolver! Pedi por três dias seguidos a troca para um quarto duplo (havia disponibilidade, eu mesmo testei no Booking!) ou uma cama extra, e a recepção sempre recusou, com descaso.

Fui obrigado a dormir no chão.

No segundo dia, peguei um colchão "emprestado" do quarto dos meus colegas para não dormir no frio.

No terceiro dia, as camareiras, sob ordem da gerência, retiraram o colchão e o esconderam! Fui forçado a dormir no chão novamente.

GERÊNCIA INTRANSPARENTE E ARROGANTE: Quando pedi o Livro de Reclamações, disseram que a gerente que deu a ordem para tirar o colchão estava "de férias" e não podia falar comigo. Uma desculpa ridícula e uma falta de respeito com o hóspede.

A situação só foi resolvida quando pressionei, e me colocaram num quarto duplo, mas, para a "cereja do bolo", o ar-condicionado estava quebrado.

Resumo: Este hotel não tem a mínima empatia nem profissionalismo. O atendimento é péssimo, o café da manhã é pobre e a gerência é intransigente. Se não querem ter a experiência de dormir no chão, NÃO FIQUEM AQUI!
