Madeira Native Motion — Hotel in Calheta

I stayed at Madeira Native Motion from the 7h to the 13th of february 2016, my main reason for this trip being the surf. ||To start with, Madeira is an amazing, raw, beautiful and very unique island. Weather was great, water was warm, so much nature to see.||The surf was very challenging, big, but amazing breaks, except for the 2 first days where the swell was reaaaaally big and I could not really have fun since I'm not used to that kind of size. The other days were basically among the best days of surfing I've had. Not to mention Orlando, who is basically the guy you want with you all the time when you go out there surfing, he knows all the breaks, locations, where to go to catch the perfect wave..||Now regarding Madeira Native Motion : Go there! Native Motion exceeded my expectations. Sara was helpful before my arrival and both she and Orlando were fantastic hosts. The accommodation is clean, modern, comfortable and had breath-taking views, and oh those dreamy, Atlantic Ocean sunsets...wow! I felt totally at ease as a lone female traveller and couldn't have asked for a better location to do some walking and exploring. I didn't have a car, but I would recommend one if you want to go out for dinner and don't want to rely on the buses or want to explore parts of the island that are only really accessible by car. Whilst staying there were couples, a family and another female traveller at various points throughout the 5 days I was there. All were lovely and the space is big enough for everyone to enjoy without feeling on top of each other. My visit was a bit out of season, but I don't think peak season would be an issue. I really didn’t want to leave wonderful hospitality clean bright and full of sunshine. Very well organized as to grocery cupboards for each guest fridge space, my bedroom was super nice comfortable bed and nicely decorated, my bathroom was stylish too and the kitchen is fully equipped. There where five other guests from different parts of the world whilst I was there it was really nice meeting other travelers and discussing where they had been on the island and where they were from. The pool is lovely after a hot day to just chill and watch the Sunset 🌅 nice location for photos as well.
