Hotel Brasa — Hotel in Elvas

Just spent a night here as a good value alternative to hotels in nearby Badajoz, Spain. Hotel was easy to find on the main road (but no road noise that we heard) with free car park. Our first floor room had a view of the countryside, with H&C air conditioning and a comfortable double bed. The buffet breakfast was excellent - one of the best we have encountered anywhere. I had forgotten when I booked that breakfast was included in the price which made this hotel outstandingly good value. Only a few small negatives - the wall mounted TV was too small to be viewed from the bed but we weren't going to watch it anyway. At busy times the hot water was not hot enough for a bath the way I like it buy fine for a shower. Stayed in a room on the 1st floor, wifi went out sometimes; no hot water (not even warm water) on the shower; old looking room from the '60s with some dirt and insects inside; very small bed (I'm 1.75m and my feet were sticking out); TV is minuscule. housekeeping staff tried to bust in my room door forcefully without knocking in; no "do not disturb" sign; housekeeping staff threw out a toothpaste (I had left behind) immediately without keeping it for half a day even, I went back to the hotel on the same day I checked out and...

Reserve en este hotel porque iba a visitar Badajoz y Elvas,por su proximidad, en sabado y en Badajoz era bastante dificil encontrar un hotel bien situado y con buen precio,asi q reservamos aqui. Está muy cerca de Badajoz,y a las afueras de Elvas,sin problema de aparcamiento. Para visitar Elvas tienes q coger coche,pero no hay problemas para aparcar el coche abajo,justo antes de entrar a las murallas. Si piensas visitar ambas ciudades yo te aconsejaría visitar con mas detenimiento Elvas,es mas bonita,eso si,tiene muchas cuestas. El hotel está anticuado,es verdad, pero es muy cómodo y limpio. Las vistas de mi habitación 108 eran muy relajantes,mucho verde y ovejas al fondo,mucha paz. Hay alguna mancha de humedad o alguna cosilla rota,pero si no se es muy delicado no tiene mucha importancia,las sábanas y toallas estaban blanquisimas y limpisimas. Las camas muy cómodas,dormimos de lujo. La habitación se mantuvo muy calentita,a pesar del frio y viento q hacía fuera. No hubo ningún problema con el baño. El personal q nos atendió fue en todo momento muy muy amable y educado. Por la noche,Elvas, estaba muy vacío y hacía frio,no sabíamos donde cenar,así q decidimos hacerlo en el hotel. El camarero super agradable, cenamos dos sopas de verduras,q eran como una crema de zanahoria con verduras cortaditas,estaba buenísima,un entrecot de ternera q compartimos,bastante bueno,y un postre q fue bastante grande y muy muy rico,casero.
