CASAS DO ERMO — Hotel in Fafe

We stayed at House Mint for a week in the middle of July. This beautiful holiday home is located outside a small village near Fafe. The farm buildings and house have been converted into 5 holiday homes of various sizes. House Mint is a double height apartment with the living room, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and a mezzanine bedroom.||The apartment has been constructed from high quality materials and is beautifully equipped including towelling robes, toiletries and pool towels. The swimming pool is just across the grass and comes with very comfortable waterproof bean bags, great for total relaxation. The porch outside the apartment is in the shade from midday, ideal for those who want a break from the sun.||We were surprised to find that the apartment had maid service. Daniela, who welcomed us to the property, came in daily to make the bed and clean the apartment. She was so friendly and we loved the days when she left slices of cake and glasses of port for us, such a nice touch.||The whole complex is beautifully maintained with a fountain and pond in the courtyard creating a lovely ambiance when you walk through from the shaded parking area. There are views over the surrounding countryside and the local town of Fafe is well supplied with good supermarkets for easy shopping.||We had a great day out including a river trip in Porto , about an hour away by car and we also enjoyed visiting Guimarães with its stunning castle. ||This was one of the best holiday apartments we have ever rented and...

We loved our stay in casa da Lucia Lima. The property is very beautifull: it was recently renovated and it has a big garden where kids can play near the swiming pool. The houses are very confortable, well decorated and have a full equiped, kitchen. As this is also a farm, we could see in loco how a wide range of aromatic herbs are produced. The Limonete tea funtastic! We are also thinking returning next summer. Next time we will choose...

When we choose Casas do Ermo, we did not antecipated how pleasent our stay could be. We stayed in Casa do Tomilho. The house has a central kitchen (fully equiped), where one can prepare dinner and have a good glass of wine in between a chat. The room is a mezanine with view over the living room. We also enjoyed the place being relatively central from the places we visited Geres, Guimarães and Porto. Certainly a place...
