Best stay in our whole life - this place is magical!

Our fantastic stay at this enchanting cottage in Portugal was magical. It's a challenge to put into words just how amazing our experience was; it left us either in blissful speechlessness or eager to talk endlessly about the perfection of that stay.

Them team spent an amazing attention to detail for the delightful little cottages. Every aspect was carefully crafted to not only look aesthetically pleasing but also to create an atmosphere that enveloped us in coziness, tranquility, and pure relaxation. Remarkably, it was the first time my girlfriend hesitated to leave for sightseeing or other activities because, in her words, "the place is simply perfect." With a breathtaking view over the Algarve, the cottages felt like a magical haven, secluded from the surrounding world, resembling a cozy, tiny village. It was perfection in every sense.

And if that wasn't enough, our host Laurent and his team elevated our stay to unforgettable heights. Beyond providing invaluable advice on places to see, Laurent curated a detailed list of restaurants, complete with addresses, phone numbers, and even Google locations. Fabulous place to come, de-stress, and unwind away from, but still close to the Algarve coast. Situated up in the hills near Loulé, this gorgeous place is a real find, a secret you want to keep but also share at the same time! The views from our place and the swimming pool, across the Algarve down to the sea and beyond are stunning. Nick and Mia, our hosts gave us plenty of information prior to our arrival about places to see/visit and restaurants both near and far that they've either tried and loved themselves or which visitors to Borboleta have recommended. This was so helpful as it took the stress out of trying to rely on guide books or worse still, Trip Advisor for somewhere to eat. There are some lovely places to visit along this end of the coastline, with boat rides out to islands, but take an umbrella with you - cheap to buy in the supermarkets! But, Nick and Mia also give suggestions for the other end of the Algarve too. My favourite being Praia de Cordoama just beyond Vila do Bispo and the restaurant there. Cordoama and Praia do Castelejo are linked, especially when the tide is out and are favoured by the Portuguese, who love their beaches! I stayed 3 glorious nights at Monte Borboleta and my only wish was that I wanted to stay longer. This place is a true gem in the Algarve, far from the madding crowd with a sensational view. The apartments are beautifully decorated, with lots of personal touches, such as the welcome gift basket and the wireless speaker. The pool area is gorgeous, overlooking the whole coast. Monte Borboleta is a special place of peace and serenity, a chance to completely switch off from the outside world and completely relax. Nick and Mia were fantastic hosts and couldn't be more helpful in terms of recommendations and suggestions with top tips on local restaurants and sights to see. I would highly recommend Monte Borboleta for adults looking for a high quality retreat with all the modern amenities one would expect. This is a unique property and a truly unforgettable experience. I cannot wait to return, hopefully next year. I get 'butterflies' just thinking about it....
